The Rose Bowl committee is a group of inept, stupid, corrupt, vile, horrible, disgusting human beings that opted to do what is best for their own foolish, belief that their bowl should place "tradition" over the interest of their fans.

Georgia should be playing USC right now - instead we got a team whose talent doesn't compare well to Appalachian State and whose coaches, while incredible, are powerless to do anything.

My thoughts from today's action

-I thoroughly enjoyed the Michigan/Florida game. Nice for Lloyd Carr to end his career with a victory, and Florida really isn't as good as Teblowers (Herbstreit?) have said. Niether was it proven given how badly their secondary was destroyed by Henne today.

-Hawaii/Georgia game I thought would've been hilarious had Hawaii upset the clearly superior Bulldogs. Oh well.

-What is Juice Williams's first name? It seriously can't be "Juice" right? Loved Musburger and Herbstreit attempting to secretly vouche for USC's right as the best team in the country, but didn't pull it off effectively.

Edit: I looked it up, Juice Williams is his real name.

That's the thing though. Everyone is running around saying "oh big ten/pac-10 tradition blah blah" when really it isn't. The spirit of the Rose Bowl is best from of the east vs. best from the west. Now because the best Big Ten team is in the championship game; logically it should be Georgia and USC. And you're right. Both Georgia and USC got very favorable match ups.

Congrats to UGA fans. Now through the magic of the screwed up system that is NCAA D-I football, you can scream for months that you should have at least played USC in the Rose Bowl, if not had a shot at the title. And nothing will change.
