That was one thing I was glad about last night's game. Everyone gave props to the Giants. They didn't say well the officials and the bad calls. There weren't any. It was NY playing better.

and this has got to kill all the Dallas fans out there.....their division rival put the cowgirls out of the post season and went on to win the super bowl..i have some dallas fans in my office and today willl be a good day at work

as a Giants fan, I would like them to repeat but its tough to do that in todays NFL....and yes a lot of Giant fans wanted Elis head after week 2
Yeah after the last 2 Superbowls the Giants won they were 6-9 and 8-8. :csad:

Your choice. I definitely think things would've turned out differently if they hadn't gone undefeated the entire season, but hey, nothing can be done about it and the New York Giants ARE the Super Bowl champs.

Unlike most fans I'm not going to claim cheating or bad officiating, NY's defense really kicked our asses without any hesitation and they earned this victory.

Well, enjoy making all the excuses and "what if's" if you want. The Patriots lost. It's over. They got beaten. Nothing was taken away from them and I didn't see them falling apart. I just saw them ultimately get overwhelmed by a defensive line that ate their QB alive and an offense that held it together and delivered under pressure to pull out the win. I'd give the Giants credit for stepping up and getting it done before I'd ever make excuses for the Patriots not winning the game.

Who? Randy Moss? Donte Stallworth (a retread)... there isn't a big time receiver out there that I know of.

There not to far away, they were on fire going in to the playoffs, and just missed out.

:Larry Fitzgerald: Rumblings are he might be on the block. Aside from him though I think they may go after someone like Berrian from Chi(WR), Trufant from Sea(CB).

Show your Cowgirl loving coworkers this (warning, strong language):

I'm not making any excuses. I have given the Giants credit, where have I not given them credit?

Seems like someone is extremely sensitive today. :o

Before you make outlandish claims of me not giving credit, go back and read my posts during the aftermath of the game. I gave and still give NY credit for the great defense and making the plays that mattered most. I have not, nor have I ever made any kind of excuses as to why New England lost the big dance last night. I did say that I believe the pressure got to them in the end with the possibility of making history, but in the end, it does not change the outcome and New York are the Super Bowl champions. This isn't a dream, this isnt some made up fictional story, it actually happened and I am not denying that at all Jags.

It seems as though you're getting defensive for no reason.

Yeah it hurts... but not everyone is fond of the Patriots either... but we'll get one in this era... sooner than later... we made our run after the Giants in the late eighties... Superbowls are going to start coming back to the NFC.

because the first thing out of everyones' mouth is how the Pats messed up, not how the Giants played a fantastic game

While I do think the Giants were playing with the "house's" money and had nothing to lose.

Any team in the Superbowl should feel more pressure of losing a Superbowl over losing a perfect season.

Those 18-19 games should mean nothing once you step out into the field. And I don't think the Pats would have played any differently by that rationale.

Sure you are. You're marginalizing their win by saying asinine things like "If the Patriots hadn't gone undefeated in the regular season they wouldn't have crumpled under pressure in the big game and I have no doubt that they would have won". You're making it sound like the Patriots let them win or that they would have won the game under normal circumstances. That's marginalizing the Giants win, dude. :whatever:

Hmm, I don't necessarily believe the pressure if the same if you've lost a game or two. I believe there's more pressure in trying to complete a perfect season along with a championship, mainly because I think you can let it all hang out and make the plays that matter.

New York did exactly that. They had nothing to lose and no one gave them a chance, so they came out ready to play and made an crucial clutch play that had them win the Super Bowl. I am not trying to deny their victory because there's no denying that they have the trophy right now and they sent New England home.

I feel Jag is intentionally taking my words out of context. Patriots did mess up and didn't come to play, but pressure of trying to have a perfect season I feel played a part in it as well. I also believe they most likely thought they were going to come in and humilate the Giants as well, since the Giants were the underdogs in this confrontation. It's hard to beat a team that really has nothing to lose because that's when they play their hardest.

Cowboys have more chips to trade for a young receiver... Jerry is probably going to make a deal here and unload those 1st round picks for a Roy Williams (Det) or a trade up with Oakland/Miami for Mcfadden unless he is satisfied with the corners in the draft.

Actually the Pats did mess up and the fact that they messed up is acknowledging that they didn't make the plays that mattered.

I guess most people are taking exception to your posts because you think the Pats would of won if this happened, or this happened. Like the Giants won on a fluke and not on their abilities. The Patriots didn't beat themselves (pressure), the Giants beat them.

but the Pats lost and they get mentioned first is what ticks me off.....

I haven't heard that, I've heard all morning and last night how The Giants Defense played lights out, and frustrated Brady all night.

Patriots did beat themselves, they didn't make the plays and the Giants defense I believe shocked them too. I'm not taking ANYTHING away from the Giants they won the game, played great defense, and Eli made a clutch throw to lead his team to victory.

I definitely wish things turned out differently, but they didn't and New York Giants are the champions. No excuses at all. A great team overcomes any kind of pressure and New England wasn't the best team at all last night, they flat out got beat and they have a long time to think about it now.

Dude, you really should read what you are typing. They weren't making the plays because the defense was shutting them down. Which flustered Brady, which caused him to miss passes.

Sure there was pressure on the team. The pressure of the Giant defense.

the look on Bradys face during the game was "why the **** am I on the ground?? This never happened before....it hurts it hurts...."

He was getting pissed at some of his players for not leaping that extra 5 feet in the air to catch some of his passes. :o
