Sort of torn between who I am rooting for. I usually root for the Jets, but if there is one guy that deserves another ring it's Manning. But I want the Jets to win to shove it up Polian's ass for basically giving them a playoff berth. On the other hand, Rex Ryan did way too much talking for my liking this year, so if the Jets lose, I want it to be Manning driving the length of the field with two minutes left down by 6. Of course I am rooting for another Farve implosion, but a Farve Superbowl is still highly appealing. I don't think I can pass a Viking/Colt Superbowl.

so Dallas could get blown out??

Well I think we both know how the Giants ended their year.

there are great storylines for each team

-The Jets - rookie QB and a first year head coach, not in the Super Bowl since the 70's, always considered the 2nd class NFL team playing in Giants Stadium

-The Vikings - Brett Favre, one of the NFLs best offensive weapons in Adrian Petersen, a team that hasn't been in the SB since 78 I think

-The Saints - a franchise that has seen some of the worst seasons an NFL team can see, never been to the Super Bowl, a city that is 100 percent behind the team, and a QB that has the best pre-game pump up anywhere

-The Colts - boring, but successful and Peyton Manning...who when his career is over, will probably be considered to be the best QB the game has ever seen

Don't forget my annual Super Bowl party and discussion thread, coming up Monday :yay:

Not to mention Katrina, which nearly took the Saints away from New Orleans permanently.

That article posted above might be right, but I think the Saints/Jets would be a great matchup storywise.

It's not hard to see what, IMO, the storylines for the Superbowl most likely will be:

Saints/Colts: Which QB is the best in the NFL today?

Saints/Jets: Can Brees destroy the best defense in the NFL?

Vikings/Colts: Favre vs Manning

Vikings/Jets: The old guard vs the rookie

Brees and His team beat the Jets...But more so Sanchez turned the ball over 3 times in that game...But the Jets crept back in...

True, but the Jets didn't have the swagger back then that they have right now, and the confidence they have after beating one of the best teams in the NFL during the regular season. I would love to see a rematch between these two with the way the Jets are playing right now.

it was ever since that colts game the Jets seem to be on top in offense and defense. what ever it is, they always find a way to win a game

I really hope Jets will be able to defy the prediction from the analysts, and make it to the Super Bowl. All other 3 teams are either #1 or #2 in their division, and it won't surprise anyone if Saints, Vikings, or Colts made it to the Big Dance. But if Jets made it, that would be one heck of a story, won't you think?

I see where Al Davis says Tom Cable will be back as Oakland's coach....Tom probably threatened to beat up his undead boss if he didn't return him.

Manning MVP Stats Against Rex Ryan Over Past Five Games...
Now they'll face Ryan's defence again, a unit Manning has been successful against

In the last five games against Ryan's defences, Manning has thrown for 1,136 yards with nine touchdowns and two interceptions, winning four times by more than a touchdown.

The only loss in that stretch? The game Manning and his teammates didn't finish.

When the Colts threw the game, it gave the Jets a boost of confidence.

Cable will celebrate keeping his job by beating up people.

I still think of how bizarre it will be if Brett Favre ends up wearing a Packers and Vikings Super Bowl ring.

Especially since he'd be the only quarterback to even have rings from different teams.

someone should remind Excel that "throwing it to Randy Moss" is not a solution in any of todays games....as Randy is at home, not playing in either championship game
