The argument is actually very legit.

Not so much that T.O.'s #s would be amazing, as much as Rice gets more credit than he perhaps deserves; its why Rice is never mentioned in the "most talented" group; because unlike Moss, Owens, ect., he never put up big #s catching balls from bad quarterbacks.

Its not that hard to do well catching balls from Joe Montana and Steven Young for a carreer. If Moss comes anywhere close to any of Rice's #'s, he should easily be considered the greatest ever because while Jerry had Joe Montana and Steve Young, Randy had Jeff Georgia, Daunte Culpepper, and Kevin Walter.

What would you rather be anointed as the "most talented" or the "best ever"?

And T.O. can go kick rocks. His relevance is essentially nil these days.

the argument has some merits, but lots of us are just tired of TO and his mouth....there is a reason he ended up in Buffalo, and it has nothing to do with his numbers

Ruh-oh.

Word down in chinatown is DeSean Jackson and his new agent, Drew Rosenhaus, want a new contract. We all remember what happened the last time Drew and a Phily wr wanted a new contract...

more often than not, Rosenhaus' manages to get what his clients want....blame the organizations for caving

Oh, man. Rosenhaus representing Jackson? I can't imagine the volume of profanity from the Eagles front office.

Don't conveniently leave out Brady.

He didnt get Tom Brady until the 9th season of his carreer, and well past his physical prime, though thats not saying much. If Moss had been paired with Bradys the previous 8 seasons, he would be over 200 touchdowns by now.

McKinnie Booted From Pro Bowl
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie has been dismissed from the NFC Pro Bowl team for unexcused absences.

The NFL said McKinnie missed practice Friday and Saturday and is subject to a fine. His agent didn't respond to messages seeking comment.

This was the first Pro Bowl selection for McKinnie, whose Vikings lost to New Orleans in the NFC championship last Sunday.

Defensive end Julius Peppers also had an unexcused absence Friday, but was back at practice Saturday.

Since the rosters for Sunday's game in Miami were first announced, more than a dozen players have been scratched.
I believe this might be dumber than the idea of moving the Pro Bowl to the week before the Super Bowl. Cripes, McKinnie.

Just end the pro bowl. No one watches it, and apparently no one wants to be there. lol

I think the game itself more or less should be scrapped, but I don't mind seeing things like the Skills Competition, seeing Ochocinco kicking and punting, etc. I think it would be nice to see those sorts of things more than an actual "game". Get the coaches involved with a "craziest play" contest. Add an end zone celebration contest and/or a role reversal contest for the WR/DB's. Make it more about the fun and party aspect than about the AFC vs NFC "game" and I think it could work wonderfully as the kickoff to Super Bowl week.

Eagles may as well trade Desean while they still can. At least get some decent compensation. No way they are paying the guy if he pulls a TO. I think Minneota would give up a number one for McNabb and just release Farve if he tries to come back. Then get another team to take DeSean maybe this year or next year.

The thing with DeSean Jackson is he probably deserves a new contract, unlike TO's situation with the Eagles.

Philly doesn't like to spend money if they don't have to....so McNabb can talk about staying in Philly all he wants, he won't get a ring there because the organization won't invest

All depends on what he wanta. Seeing as, before incentives, hes slated to earn like 600 grand next year, than yes, he obviously deserves a big raise.

Desean 2009: 15 games, 1,167 yards, (77 per game), 43 1st downs, 9 touchdowns

T.O. 2004: 14 games, 1200 yards (85 yards oper game), 51 1st downs, 14 touchdowns

Even better, T.O.'s 2005 stats were off the chart. Before getting kicked off the twam after 7 games, he was averaging 109 yards per game, and was leading the NFL in receiving touchdowns.

After his huge 2004, Owens was slated to make 4.5 million in 2005 before incentives. When you consider that, at the time, the other big receiver in the NFL, Randy Moss, was getting paid like 13 million a year, its easy to understand why Owens wanted a new contract too.

Desean is a play maker. Owens was/is a go-to-guy. Go to guys are always harder to find than play makers. DeSean had a big season, but he is NOT, by any stretch of the imagination, the player Terrell Owens was/is. DeSean is too small to be any sort of possession receiver, therefore he is not half as effective in the red zone or on 3rd down as T.O. was.

Pro Bowl today, *****es! :woot:

Hard-hitting, old school style football at it's finest. Some of the best athletes in the world, competing at an intense level, to show who's the best, all for a rabid crowd who'll propel them to channel their most keen performances. No one in the league, selected for such an honor would dare think to be anywhere else today.

Yep.

:lmao:

For ****'s sake, cancel this crap ...or, at least, switch it back to the old format. You're better than this, Hammer. :argh:

If only Sean Taylor was still around to kill kickers.:csad:

So what you will about this years pro bowl, they figured out something important:

if thered to be one, it HAS to be before the super bowl. It cannot be after.

I want Ochocinco to score a TD just to see what celebration he has up his sleeve.

Asomugha and Revis on the same team, is unfair. Rodgers is ****ed.
