Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn will not be pleased.

WTF did Anderson implode after his Pro Bowl year?

I've heard that Anderson's initial success was largely due to defenses not being familiar with him; not having any film on him or anything so they didn't know how to prepare. I'm not entirely sure since I didn't watch any Browns games that year other than the the Steelers games, and well, we won both so that was all that mattered to me.

I'm not sure I buy the "no one knew anything about DA" excuse, though. New QBs often have lousy seasons and nobody has film on them. I think that he started out hot but lost his confidence somewhere along the way and eventually imploded entirely. I'm guessing it was because after a bad game or two, fans were back on the "We Want Quinn" bandwagon.

I bet in March, Brett Favre retires and unretires at least seven times. Then he does the same 50,000 more times between April and August.

For the posters in the playoff pool, I will send out reminders Thursday and Saturday.

Bad news for all of yall who disliked the game being held last night:

NEW YORK (AP)—The Pro Bowl’s new, earlier date resulted in more viewers tuning in to the NFL’s all-star game.
Sunday’s AFC-NFC matchup on ESPN was watched by an average of 12.3 million viewers, the most since 2000. That’s up 40 percent from last year’s Pro Bowl on NBC, which drew 8.8 million viewers when the event was held after the Super Bowl.

This season’s game was in a later time slot, when more people watch TV. But it also had to compete against the Grammys on CBS, which attracted 25.8 million viewers, the most since 2004.

Moss seperated shoulder
Wide receiver Randy Moss was diagnosed with a separated shoulder following the Patriots' season and that was the reason he did not play in the Pro Bowl, a league source said on Monday.

The severity of the injury is not known, although rest alone can often heal a separated shoulder.

Moss had surfaced on the injury report with a shoulder ailment three days after the Patriots' 20-17 overtime loss to the Broncos on Oct. 11. He remained on the injury report because of the shoulder through Nov. 6, although he played through the injury.

Moss had taken himself out of the Broncos' game for two plays after a 36-yard reception in the third quarter. On the play, in which he caught a pass over the middle and then was running down the field, Moss considered a lateral before tucking the ball and then having three Broncos drive him into the ground.

Still, Moss returned to the game, and it is unclear if that was the play in which he injured his shoulder.

Moss started all 16 games this season and finished second on the team with 83 receptions for 1,264 yards and a team-high 13 touchdowns. He played in approximately 85 percent of the team's offensive snaps, easily a team-high among receivers.

Moss had played through significant back pain in the team's 26-10 win over the Falcons on Sept. 27. The back injury first surfaced Sept. 25 and had Moss on the injury report through Oct. 1.

Not it makes sense; no wonde rhe only had 13 touchdowns; he played the final eleven games with seperated shoulder in addition to bum knees and back.

Throw it to Moss!

Usually works :o

Bears hire Mike Martz as OC........Matt Forte will be lucky to get 15 carries since Martz loves to pass. In fact I bet 15 of his first 20 plays are all passing.

For what its worth, and that ain't much...Shouldn't it be 'Throw it to Welker'? Him bein the 1st option and all.

Bruce Willis on Letterman in a Jets Mark Sanchez jersey. Came out breaking through a Jets banner, wearing a Jets hat and dancing with pom poms.

this is that time of the year when I get really upset about all the hoopla surrounding the Super Bowl and how it squeezes out real fans, it's not a Laker game , you shouldn't be going there just to be seen

I don't pay attention to the people in the crowds, those who show up just for the cameras, nor for the useless week of hype building for the game.

All that means is it's a good week for me.

Dude I'm so hyped for this weekend. I thought it was very stupid to put the Pro-Bowl before the Super Bowl though. You would never play your players that are going to the Super Bowl in a game that could leave them out of the Super Bowl. Not sure why they changed it this year. Anyways, next season I'm doing Fantasy Football, maybe I can go all the way...

The players from the Saints and Colts that were selected to the Pro Bowl DIDN'T play in the Pro Bowl.

Mike Martz is the Bears' new OC.

And a collective snicker eminates from St. Louis, Detroit, and San Francisco...

Considering Forte has the second most receptions of any RB in the NFL over the past two seasons, I think he'll get enough touches to keep him happy.
