I confess, the best jersey of all rookies is the dark Moreno jersey.

McNabb will never be in a better situation then he was in 2004 with T.O. or what he has this upcoming season. He is surrounded with plenty of talent. Now he has to deliver, period.

Maclin is a rookie. Had they added a season vet ala Houshmanzadeh I would agree that McNabb has to preform, however to expect anything 600-700 recieving yards and a handful of touchdowns is unfair. Maclin will be a good one, but to expect him to come and a huge playmaker immeadietly isn't wise; besides DeSean is the one to really watch imo. The other rook McCoy; McNabb will hardly effect as hell mostly catch screens.

What I meant was Jackson is coming off a stellar rookie campaign. He'll have a healthy Westbrook for the first time in two years. Not to mention Celek who came around in the playoffs as well as Curtis, Avant, and Baskett.

T.O. was the only talented WR on that 04 team. This WR group is better then that IMO.
McCoy is going to see plenty of time. He's going to spell Westbrook a ton.

I dont see how Westbrook or McCoy effect McNabb; he doesnt help them. He throws them screens and they run after the catch.

The possibilty for a huge rookie impact IS there, but I dont know if its fair to expect it. Jackson really came on as a down the field threat while Maclin was a short route running college anyways. They balance eachother as playmakers pretty well, but they still lack a true possession guy, which was what McNabb really needed.

The Eagles are going to go 10-6 at best.....more likely 8-8.
Mcnabb really needs to stop sucking to be loved.

I was never a big Housh fan to be honest. I would have taken Boldin, but the new contract and his injury history scares me a little. Plus it didn't sound like Arizona planned on trading him.

An effective running game surely opens up the pass. While I like this WR group they still don't have a clear cut #1. If you can run the ball successfully teams will have to defend both, not just focus on taking away one aspect. Watch for Jason Avant next year.

McCoy might be better than Westbrook at this point.

A good run-/pass-game balance (which Westbrook and McCoy can help McNabb provide) will keep the defenses guessing, and make it easier for the Eagles to march up and down the field on people. Whereas you have teams like the Saints who have been a pass-happy team, so the game-plan for opposing defenses would be to overhaul the pass rush and cover the receivers like there's no tomorrow.

That's not saying much in the offseason.

Let's see where he's at come Week 2.

The past 2-3 years he's been a GTD what feels like every week. The main issue he was having was with his knee. He finally had it cleaned up. Westbrook will not carry the ball as much as he did the past 2-3 years.

The Eagles could be dangerous, but the biggest thing that will affect them is the lose of their defensive coordinator Jim Johnson. Losing a good long time guy like that has serious repercussions if you don't have someone worthy to replace that. I've always thought the reason the Eagles D was good had alot to do with Jim Johnson. Every team wants a guy like that. As far as their offense goes the interior O-line will be terrible, and Jason Peters is highly overrated. He'll get owned by top NFC East pass rushers in DeMarcus Ware and Osi Umenyiora. Jackson and Maclin together is what scares me. Jackson is a knucklehead, but he's talented. So is Maclin. They can cause some problems, even though they are a little bit limited in terms of route running.

Wait a minute now

Had LeSean McCoy returned to school he likely coulda been a top 15 pick next season; in the top 3 rbs heading into next year with Dwyer and Best. He has elite change of direction and the best vision of any back in this years draft, as well as best hands. Many people had him going 1st round off his tape before the combine. The Eagles got a STEAL in him. Just wait and see; like the folks back in in 2006 with us whose said Dillon would stil be better than Maroney...just watch. McCoy is legit. He's Reggie Bush without the electifying break away speed, instead just decent breakaway speed.

Though Maclin will have his share of big plays, McCoy will be the big Eagles rookie next year imo.

Johnson is back....he's responding well to cancer treatment, and he was just at mini camp this past week. Also the interior O Line is far from terrible. Stacy Andrews is moving into play guard (Shawn Andrews to RT). The OLine will be a strong point.

Jim Johnson is still with the Eagles.

Source: Favre, Vikes to Discuss Playing
Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress and quarterback Brett Favre plan to meet at an undisclosed location later this week to discuss the possibility of the former Packers and Jets quarterback renouncing his retirement from the NFL to play the 2009 season with the Vikings, according to a source with direct knowledge of discussions between the two parties.

There is a mutual understanding that sometime soon thereafter Favre will decide whether to sign with the Vikings. The team would expect him to participate fully in offseason minicamps and training camps, which he missed last year with the Jets.
   :( :waa:

EDIT: I got beat out by two posts reporting this......****

LOL. He should just play for every team in the league and set that record as well.

If he goes to the Vikings, he'll just need to play for five more teams to surpass the record, which is currently eight different teams.
