Culpepper has not handled the Stafford selection well, IMO.

He has refused to talk to the media during the off season and, as of rookie camp, had not called Matthew.

Culpepper knows his days of being a starter is numbered, because there's no way Lions will pick Stafford #1 overall and pay him all those money to have him be a benchwarmer. I won't be surprised if Culpepper leaves before the season begins.

He hasn't called Stafford because he's been too busy stuffing his fat ass at the Olive Garden. Saw him there myself.

What kind of situation did he expect when he signed last year? As long as he plays great then he has nothing to worry about, so it's up to him to keep that job.

He'll probably throw a fit when Stafford replaces him and he's going to "retire" again.

He didn't really choose to retire last time. He waited for a team to take interest in him until week 3 last year then he announced his retirement cause he couldn't get a contract

My thoughts exactly. You don't pay a guy $78 million to back up an aging, injury prone Daunte Culpepper.

Culpepper's best chance to start is in Detroit. He won't leave.

Stafford will probably start in week 8 after going 0-6. If you look at their schedule its entirely possible they will go 0-6 before the bye week.

I predict Culpepper a pro bowler for 8-8 Lions.

Bengals sign Roy Williams

Marvin Harrison to retire

Roy Williams is so bad.

HOW BAD IS HE?

He's so bad that there's a chance Cincinnati will be even worse this season.

Oh, Tank Johnson sucks as well.

-and Carolina has been pretty competitive ever since.

It has to be the Broncos to watch, for me. I'm from Pittsburgh (guess my team), but McDaniels is just too much fun for me to pass up. I didn't think his draft was too strong, he pulled in a nice range of free agent talent, and I think he had some trouble with another player... hmmm. It's better than the "Owens in Buffalo Show." (I'm trademarking that)

How the hell can they be worse than last year? If Carson is truly healthy then there is no way they can be worse.

ESPN has hired Matt Millen to be their One Millionth and First NFL Analyst.

The amount of NFL guys ESPN has is ridiculous.

Your opinion or has he released a statement?

Yahoo --

The Minnesota Vikings will not sign free-agent quarterback Brett Favre, a source close to the team told Yahoo! Sports on Thursday.

The source said Favre told Vikings coach Brad Childress that he wanted to remain retired in a phone call that took place sometime in the last day. Favre is expected to publicly explain his decision soon.

Favre, who announced his first retirement in March 2008 after spending 16 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, decided to resume his career last summer and was traded to the New York Jets in August. After one season in New York, Favre retired again and was subsequently released by the Jets on April 29.

Just days after his release from the Jets, speculation began that the Vikings were interested in bringing in a veteran to compete with Sage Rosenfels, who was acquired this offseason from the Houston Texans. Rosenfels is atop the depth chart heading into training camp, with Tarvaris Jackson and John David Booty also on the roster

I want opinions on how the Texans will do this year from my esteemed professionals in this thread.
