What other reasons would people have to hate them? Lebron James was arguably the most liked athlete in all of sports. The reason he is so hated, is because most people think he gave up and quit in game five against Boston last season and when he realized that he isn't good enough to win a championship on his own, he would run to Miami to take the role of Robin to D-Wade's Batman. That he and D-Wade and Bosh would dominate the entire league and that he would get carried to seven championships as he said. And not only that, he did it in a self promoting one hour special on ESPN which embarrassed the entire city of Cleveland in the process. Fans of other NBA teams even felt bad for the entire city which has a bad history with all their sports teams, and then to top it off, not even a week after but a day after he and Bosh signed with Miami, you have them on stage dancing around like they had just defeated the Lakers in game seven of the finals. And you mix in Lebron making arrogant statements about karma after a depleted Cavs team gets crushed by the Lakers and about how he's going to continue to be great after a win against his old team and you get this. And it doesn't help that people think Bosh is Wade and Lebron's lapdog. The same guy that claims his head coach wants them to work hard while he just wants to chill. For the most part, Bosh and D-Wade aren't talking that much, but Lebron is always making a statement to put them in the news. That's A reason, sure, but is it really anywhere near the top on the list of reasons people dislike this team? Probably not. Whatever the case, people are watching and this team has helped make the NBA interesting for the first time in a long time.

Uh...Didn't I make note of all of that in my last post? And game five against Boston wasn't even when the criticism started, it was in the series that they played the Bulls and he decided to shoot free throws left handed to show the world that he was injured. Many people took it as him setting up an excuse just in case they lost in a later round. Like to the Celtics.LeBron going about his free agency the way that he did. People hate the attention-seeking multi-millionaire. Pair that with the "quitter" label he was slapped with after the Boston series and the way he shat on Cleveland on national television and poof, the NBA has a new villain.
I agree with that.People hate when one team "buys" all the talent. Why do you think so many people hate the Yankees? They make moves. They get who's available. The Heat did the same. James, Wade, and Bosh were the top free agents available (slide Bosh down a few spots, fine). Teams in the market for any of these players would have been happy with one. Miami landed all 3 - discounted.
So people are mad that three guys who have been close since they were drafted in 2003 were talking to each other about playing together? Or maybe Pat Reilly was tampering and working behind the scenes to get these guys together? I don't see fans being upset by this considering they had already said in public that they occasionally talk about playing on the same team one day. You're saying that fans are also upset because Pat Reilly broke the rules? I've heard a lot of criticism against the Heat from fans and the media, but I've never heard people claim they were upset because of possible tampering. The notion that this was the plan between the players all along. Toronto and Cleveland have pointed the finger, insinuating there might have been some collusion, yet people forget that Bosh and LeBron didn't sign with Miami outright. They were dealt in separate sign-and-trades.
Yes, I forgot to mention ESPN and the way that a loss or a win from the Heat is breaking news with them. They also do the same thing with the Knicks and it's very annoying. The forced-down-your-throat coverage. It's been non-stop from the get-go to the point that even I'm sick of it, so I can't imagine the casual NBA fan is very fond of it. An entire section devoted to Heat coverage on ESPN's website? On location reports from training camp? It's excessive, yes. Throw in non-stories like what any of these guys tweet or that LeBron is 'happy' for the Cavs because they won a game against team X and you have your topper.
I wouldn't say it's a bigger deal than the reasons you posted above. And I thought that was clear since the majority of the reasons you gave I clearly stated in my last post. But remember this took place in July. The season started in late October. For months people had that image of those three in their head, celebrating arrogantly like they had won it all. Had they just done it quietly, it wouldn't be this bad.Like I said, I get why the "celebration" irks people, I do, but is it a bigger deal than the reasons I listed above? Whatever the case, I do agree that LeBron is the reason behind most of the hate. You hear little to nothing about Wade and Bosh is only given crap when he has a bad game.
You know what the funny thing is? In most cases, 3 elite NBA superstars taking paycuts to team up for the sake of winning would be something that people would commend. This is not most cases as they are the most hated team in sports.

The thing that kills me is that they didn't need 3 elite superstars. Keep Wade, get LeBron and spend the ridiculous amount of money they used up on Bosh to actually build a team around those 2 guys. A TEAM. Not a bunch of guys that basically just fall down. Those aren't role players. Those are bad players. A few who shouldn't even be playing anymore, like Dampier and Z, they probably shouldn't even be in the league anymore and they're on the SAME ****ING TEAM no less.
How can you commend a team for gloating the way they did this past offseason.
Lebron guaranteed 8 rings...They had a WWE style intro and Lebrons decision special was just
Isn't that almost the same for when a team wins a championship and guarantees a repeat at the parade, or is that more respected because they have actually proven themselves to be winners? All of which is irrelevant to my original point. The whole celebration thing was overblown sure, but it was for the fans. People were excited, they were excited, it was what we call fun. Of course people will see it as gloating or whatnot, but it's really no different than when Shaq came to Miami.

They don't have 3 Elite Superstars. They have two elite stars and Chris Bosh. I had been saying over and over again that Bosh isn't a top ten player but people were buying into his hype.
As for player who shouldn't be in the league anymore Juwan Howard is at the top of that list. The Heat actually have bigs, they're just all old and broken down.
Couldn't agree more. If they want a realistic chance to win a championship anytime soon, next season they really need to put Bosh on the trade block to try and get rid of his contract.Call Bosh whatever you want, it's besides the point, he basically got a max contract. If they had used that money to spend on decent players to surround Wade and LeBron, it would have been MUCH better money spent. As it is, they got 2 great players, 1 good player that will go to waste, and a bunch of bums. That's not a team. Don't say it wasn't possible, the Bulls were in the same position and built an entire team from scratch (minus Rose) during the same offseason. As it's turning out, and time will only tell, they may end up to be the true winners of that offseason. It's already a wrap on the Knicks.
But aren't you both agreeing?
My bad, I edited my post when I read yours over. And as far as Bosh being an elite player, his stats were inflated on a very bad Raptors team. A lot like Kevin Love. Not that I'm putting those two on the same level. But well Bosh is(was) a good scorer and had great stats last season, he's arguably the softest player in the game. And that doesn't show up in the stat line. As far as I'm concerned, to be an elite player you have to play defense.Yeah, the only part of contention was the idea of Bosh being an Elite player. LOL
