The Miami Dolphins today announced that General Manager Jeff Ireland has signed a multi-year contract extension

They are pretty much the laughing stock of the NFL now with their horrible management & front office. Al Davis & the Raiders must be proud

Sunday ... Finally!

It has been a looong week. Can't wait for the games to get started.

This is the man that they picked over Bill Cowher?

My picks for tomorrow.

Bears
Steelers

The weak secondary of Pittsburgh combined with the amazing offensive line of New York (who can shut down the rush), leads me to lean towards New York.

Finally, the day has arrived! I hope after beating Colts and Pats, the Jets will not want to see their season end prematurely and find the will & determination to win today's game against Steelers.

and on the flip side, the right side of Pitts O line has had health issues all season...I think they are on their 2nd or 3rd right tackle this season

I'll say this. The Steelers did not win last week. The Ravens gave that game away with bad playcaling and silly mistakes. I don't think the Steelers will have the same luxury against the Jets. They'll have to earn it and I'm not sure that they can.

Yep. Factor in that Ben holds the ball way too long, Bruce Arians favors the pass to a fault, and the fact that the Jets have the most underrated linebackers in the game, and I can see it being a long day for Rapistberger. The Jets' weak point is their D-line (aside from Ellis). The best thing that the Steelers could do is RUN THE BALL. But to Arians that is a foreign concept.

I think in order for Jets to win, they must be able to run the ball well, which will be tough against Steelers' DL. However, Jets' OL is playing lights out right now, and if they can win at the line of scrimmage it'll allow Sanchez to throw against Steelers' secondary, which aside from Troy Palomaru is rather suspect. Steelers on the other hand, will probably try not to throw deep balls (and exposed to Revis and Jets' DBs), and take a chance against their DL. Sanchez must play even better in this game than he was against the Pats if Jets want to advance to their first SB in 40 years, though.

The Jets O-Line has a huge advantage in the fact that Aaron Smith is out. Plus, I could see them establishing the run due to the fact that the secondary will be stretched very thin without McFadden.

SUNDAY.....FINALLY, Good Lord what a long week....ah crap, I've got a ton of papers to grade. Well, lots of football today, so grading papers and football, a teachers wet dream...lmao.

I'm picking the first SuperBowl in the History of the NFL to feature the two lowest seeds ever. Jets vs Packers.

Packers vs. Jets. I want to see a team that isn't New England, Pittsburgh or Indy represent the AFC in the Super Bowl as it has been since 2003.

Today is Game time, I cant wait. :woot:

With the Conference Championship games upon us (And some horrid new trophies http://media.jsonline.com/images/28007179_NFC.jpg ), the Insanely Gay Cattledog has made his choices for who will be going to the Super Bowl (And after going 4-0 last week, some people may be wise to take his advice).

First up: Bears/Packers

The longest running rivalry in the NFL. Two of the most storied franchises in all of sports, playing in real football weather at Soldier Field. Two imposing and menacing defenses and offenses led by two young, rising quarterbacks.

Goblin: "CHEESEHEADS! CHEEEEEEEEEEESE! YUMMY!"

Packers

Steelers/Jets

The winnningest Super Bowl team of all time. A blazing upstart powerhouse. Two defenses capable of dismantling any offense. Powerful running games that will both be needed in the sub-zero temperatures at Heinz Field for tod-

"I LIKE KETCHUP!"

Steelers

Which simply means its his time to be wrong...

wow....Mort is talking about how Carson Palmer wants OUT of Cincy...I knew it....where the **** is Kaiser so I can laugh about how bad the Bengals are going to be next year

The Steelers did rush for 99yds against the Jets back in week 15. The only team that rushed for over a 100yds against the Jets was the Bears. I don't think this game is gonna be all in Roethlisberger's hands.
