Isaiah cops a lot of s***, and yeah he did some stupid stuff.

But in fairness the Knicks were already screwed for about a decade because of what Scott Layden had done before he even turned up on the scene.

Guy had the Knicks decked out with 7 small forwards and a bucketload of horrible, horrible contracts.

7 year $100 million dollar man

Frederic Weiss over Ron Artest in the draft

But Isiah does deserve a ton of blame...
He traded away constant picks ruined the salary cap situation of the Knicks.

He picked up Eddy Curry from the Bulls and gave away UNPROTECTED draft picks...Knicks signed Jerome WTF James for millions, traded Nene and Marcus Camby away for Mcdyess and got Stephon Marbury

BRUTAL

True...True...

Now if the Nets get Dwight when they move to Brooklyn do go back to supporting them?

Cant be a knicks & nets fan you know....I've been a Knicks fan all my life, even through the garbage years of Stephon Marbury and Isiah "The Devil" Thomas
I don't realistically see Dwight ending up in NJ, especially after the Lopez injury. But even if he did, I'd still stay with the Knicks. I like the Chandler pickup and I think they have a lot of potential to do a lot better this season.

But that's what I meant about not wanting to jump on their bandwagon. I mean if they don't win or get farther than the first round, I'm not going to be one of those people that throws in the towel and says they're garbage and this and that. I knoww they're a lot of fans out there who have stuck with them through the good and the really bad, and I think that alone makes it nice to see that the team seems to finally be on the rise.

Picking up Curry had to be one of the worst moves by Thomas. He fell in love with another Chicago kid and couldn't wait to pick him up.

Knicks pick up the Asian sensation Jeremy Lin

Chinatown rocking already.

In all fairness Curry did play well in the season before that in(guess what)a contract year. And he did play well his first year or two in NYC. Plus Isaiah got us Jamal Crawford and Z-bo and look how those guys turned out. He deserves some flack but Scott Layden deserves the blunt of it. Seems like people forgot all about how he screwed this team up. Plus, word on the street is Isaiah was the one who persuaded Carmello and Amare to go to the Knicks, despite how people want to say it was Walsh who got them there. So he can't be to bad. :o

The worst move of all was trading Patrick Ewing away on his final year...For Glen Rice, Howard Eisley, and Shannon Anderson.

DAMN IT

Paying for Luc Longley and LJ years after they'd played their last games...

I know... That's embarrassing.

Not just to me but to the Lakers... so I'm Ok with that.

How in the hell do they lose to the Kings? With that roster of mediocrity...

Yeah, I thought that even without Bynum, the Lakers should've won against Kings. I think the fact that they're playing with a new system under new head coach Mike Brown had something to do with it, but as a veteran team they really suck in back-to-back games due to their fatigue. Happened last year under Phil Jackson, as well. That's why I'm not confident that they'll win tonight's game since it's the third game in a row for them.

We are young and promising.:cmad:

Yeah, they'll probably go to the playoffs next year when they move to Anaheim. :o

Been saying this for years now, but without a true Center next to Pau, he's nearly useless against anyone physical. Chuck Hayes did yesterday what he's always done to Pau, which is push him around at will & prevent him from establishing a post position he can work from. Bynum takes that pressure off of him, and at PF, he's way more effective, it's essentially what he is anyway, a glorified PF.

But to watch his effort is maddening, for the life of me, I don't understand how we can't just get him & Bynum out of there for Dwight. IF that doesn't happen, and we also fail to get a true PG who can run the offense and create shots for others, this is going to be '04-'07 all over again.

cause the magic don't want them?

The real problem is Buss not offering Bynum in any trade scenarios, bypassing Melo, CP3 & now seemingly, Dwight, all because he drafted him and that's his little pet project to prove to daddy he's a capable shot caller.

Not to mention that deal is certainly better than Orlando watching Dwight walk at the end of the season and getting absolutely nothing in return. They'd be hardpressed to find a better deal anywhere else...

Great. A handful of Scott Layden references. The thread's all dirty now.

Rubio's passes were ridiculous. Minnesota could be a fun team to watch this year. Lotta young talent.

It's not a matter of talent they'd be saddled with their contracts, they probably don't want that burden.

You talking about Orlando? What's better, saddled with Pau & Bynum's contracts, or Hedo's?

At this point, Howard's probably not going anywhere until the trade deadline gets closer. That might wind up being the best deal out there, but I think Orlando is content to wait right now.

Miami is looking like they want to blow the Celtics out of the building. Every time Boston makes a little run, Miami answers and extends the lead.

Without Pierce, the Celtics just can't keep up scoring-wise. Outside of Melo, the player that gives Lebron the most trouble is Paul Pierce, not so much that he's a defensive stopper or even close to it, but Lebron has to work on the other end trying to defend Paul as well.

Guarding somebody quick, but much smaller, like D-Rose, isn't the same physical toll as guarding players like Melo or Pierce, who can post him or shoot over him. Take "the Truth" away, and its not nearly as taxing dealing with Pavlovic or Daniels lol.

You gotta admit, when Miami is clicking, they are very fun to watch. It's almost like every play is a highlight-worthy play.

I hate watching them play when they're clicking. :cwink:

I'd much rather watch them play when they're struggling. :woot:

I mean as a fan of the game and not a fan of any teams. Like if you take away the names and the expectations and all that other stuff and just focus on how they play all around, its fun to watch.
