I agree, but at the same time, they said the same thing about Miami, since it has a similar reputation of being just a place to party, but at the end of the day, players have certain rules to follow, but even then you can't keep them from doing certain things. Heck Jordan gambled all the time on buses and planes and he wasn't in Vegas.

They could use the money. Vegas has fallen on hard times in recent years.

"Party" wouldn't be the issue Stern would have so much as match-fixing and points shaving. They've already had a ref come out and mention the dodginess of a major playoff series involving the Kings and the Lakers (*shock* no... surely not...) in the past.

And then there's the spectre which still looms over UNLV's past...

Probably the liveliest Staples has been all season, definite Playoff atmosphere. That being said, this was ugly at times, horrendous even, but a good effort.

I'll never understand why Lakers coaching staff, past & present, insist on switching picks involving Nowitzki or Chris Paul. Those two must have at least 200 points between them over the past few seasons on mismatches created from picks, and seemingly, Phil Jackson & Mike Brown don't mind. In any case, I'll take the dub.

Can we please bring back 90s style NBA basketball. I agree with ESPN First Take, NBA gotten alot soft.

I've been extremely impressive with Lakers' 4-game winning streak, because they did it with Kobe on the sideline. They could've used Kobe's absence as an excuse to mail it in, but they didn't and actually played even harder, and it makes me hopeful that they'll do well in the playoff this season. I have confident that they'll be able to keep Clippers at bay in the end and win the Pacific Division.

I hope your right, and while rotations shorten in the postseason, I can't say I think they can win without consistent contributions. Hopefully they can use this experience wisely in the near future.

NBA owners approve of Nets move to Brooklyn and starting April 30th they become known as the Brooklyn Nets.

You never know maybe couple guys off the bench might impress in the playoffs. With Kobe getting some rest, Bynum heating it up and Gasol doing his thing they might make a run similar to Dallas from last season.

Damn how is the 76ers losing right now to a Howardless and Big Bayless Magic team????

I'm looking forward to it. The shame is that the Prudential Center is a pretty nice arena. I went there for an Devils/Rangers game and UFC 111.

Basketball and Football alike. It's a shame. I was much younger back in the 90's so as much as I loved both sports, I didn't appreciate it as much as I do now. Nowadays you see bball players having a pair of people come up to them while they're on the bench giving them multiple towels and Gatorade. Don't even get me started on the D. A lot of the players look like they don't even bother. Don't even get me started with football. :cmad:

lIKE THIS THREAD SAYS CAN MY TEAM FIRE MY HEAD COACH. sERIOUSLY ITS LIKE WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? Sorry for caps by the way, but I dono if its the players or coach or both. This is a big mystery right now in Philadelphia.

They pretty much had the same team as last year didn't they? I'm almost positive that they had the least turnover going into this year and it helped them succeed against the other teams struggling to get started in this lockout shortened season. It's the same reason Atlanta got off to such a quick start this year.

Well last season they was not that good either, but with the 20-9 start I thought they had improved but same old 76ers. We seriously need a superstar to make this team improve and a better center.

It's not Collins' fault. They wouldn't have won as many games as they have without him. It's because they just aren't a very good team.

^ Its not all his fault but he deserves some blame. They need to do something in the offseason to fix the team.

Screw those 1990's 48 minute slug fests. I want 80's fast break basketball.
