I think it's time to retitle the thread now that the Finals are upon us.

Maybe something like: "2011/2012 NBA Thread: Where Weather Happens"

They straight butchered that NBA Finals intro video. Wtf.

If the Heat bench keeps contributing like they are, this is going to be a quick series.

Smh @ Battier's halftime interview. He has no freaking clue as to why he's getting open shots. It's not because you're not on their scouting report dummy. It's because you're on there as option #5 or 6 behind LeBron, Wade, Bosh and Chalmers.

OKC will make the adjustments on him in the second half and if they don't....well shame on them.

Battier is the last player in the league I would call a dummy.

Pretty sure Erik Spoelstra’s halftime speech is asking each player who is coming to his birthday party. Bosh says no. Erik is visibly crying.

That was an awful blocking foul call on Collison. I get where JVG is coming from about it leading to less teams attacking the basket but still....that was a crap call.

Typical Heat...

I don't know why they lift their foot off the gas pedal. I swear, sometimes I think The Heat are afraid of physicality. Both Wade and LeBron did a piss poor job at attacking the rim tonight, and I don't know why.

No intensity in the second half.

IMO, the Thunder are playing as a team. The Heat are playing as one basketball player (LeBron), one person trying to look like a basketball player (Wade) and some guys that Eric Spoelstra occasionally takes the s**t eating grin combined with deer in headlight eyes look off his face to sub in to do absolutely anything but having LeBron and Wade pass to them.

The Heat need to learn to play as a team rather than two players and three spot fillers.

That's the point I made the other night, and that's why I see OKC winning this. It's a lot like the Mavs last season. They had that one unstoppable shooter in Dirk, but they had some solid team players too. Heck, the only reason Battier was getting those shots were because the focus wasn't on him, but in order to win, the Heat need more performances like that from other players who aren't their big three.

If Thunder win game 2, we can start writing another season off for LeBron's title dream. I think OKC will win the series, but it'll probably stretched to six games.

"If the Spurs win game 2, we can start talking about how OKC needs another season to develop."

I wouldn't write the Heat off, even if OKC wins game 2. A playoff series never really starts until a team loses at home.

I'm not getting crazy over this one. This series is going at least 6.

Mia needs to revamp their bench so much in the off season. Even if they win the Finals.

Typical Heat performance. Was shocked to see them leading most of the game honestly. I like how they forget how to put the ball in the basket in the 4th.

Easier said than done with the money allocated to their big 3. Knicks have the same problem, I'm not expecting any miracles.

The Apocalypse said:

The problem is, they really can't afford to with all the money they have tied up in the big three. They need to trade either Bosh or Wade.

This new CBA is going to hurt teams that have put a lot of their cap into multiple stars in order the even the playing field.

The Heat never really dominated like they needed to. Even when they jumped out to their early lead, it felt more like OKC was taking time to find their groove rather than the Heat really putting the screws to them. Miami needed to use the early lead to really send a message and say, "we own you." Instead they just kept playing soft. This is what happens when the entire team is based around two players. Unless one of the two is having a game like LeBron in game six of the ECF, it is hard to bring that kind of intensity and really dominate a team as talented as the Thunder.
