So trust in your teammates is not in the cards for #6? Just the fact that he MUST be afraid to miss a shot in the last minute if he chooses to not take it?

Kobe has to take the shots in the end because he has 5 championships under his belt and has the right to not take the blame if a shot doesn't fall in the end. And quite frankly, unless he's tossing an easy alleyoop to Bynum Or Gasol no one else is taking a jumpshot in the end of a Laker game when the game is on the line.

Every game is different by the way, so you have to change it up. I saw LeBron last night fighting for offensive boards and netting assists since his shots weren't falling towards the end and in OT.
He calls himself calls himself King James, you know about The Decision, and predicts that his team will win 8 championships, why should the dude who's all about himself, be all about his teammates, who are signed with bottom dollar because of salaries among the Big 3, when it counts late in games, I'd want one of the guys getting paid $100 million taking the shot.

I know I've heard people saying that he gave up but I also remember seeing the Cavs getting hammered by Boston in that series. He also put up a triple double in his last game with them (I remember it was something like 27 10+ 10+, something someone like Kobe would never put up), which couldn't even get it done. I'm sure something was wrong, but I don't think he gave up in that one terrible game he had. It's easy to say he gave up from a fan's perspective since everyone was talking free agency, but he was 2 rounds away from the Finals.
Pippen and Wade are 2 completely different superstars. Jordan made Pippen that much better. Wade is well, Dwyane Wade for crying out loud.

I know Wade and Pippen are different players but they still superstars. LBJ I just think should be clutch more often.

I want Wade to hit the last shot.

Two sub-par games in a row from Timmy, hope the gas isn't slowly being let out of those tires. I also doubt SA will turn the ball over 21 times again. That being said, this is basically what I expected, just as I think Boston will snag Gm 3. It's Gm 4 that will decide how long these series last...

Like I said, SA isn't unstoppable. In fact, they should be down 2-1 to OKC, and it showed tonight yet again. If The Heat and Spurs meet up at the Finals (which seems very likely now), although SA has a great offense and depth, they'll have trouble handling MIA's speed, physicality and athleticism. SA isn't guaranteed the title at all after tonight's (and Sunday's) performances.

2 posts about the SA/OKC game last night. I think that's a new record for a Western Conference Playoff game this season. :hehe:

To be honest, this is TNT's worst nightmare. Two small market teams, one of whom while technically the most impressive team in basketball is boring as hell to watch.

I believe it's ratings are doing better than ESPN's Heat vs. Celtics series...

I never understood the conspiracy theorists. If the NBA was actually rigged, why in the hell would Stern allow the Spurs to show up in the Finals so many times?

Because they are so good. The best way to get past rigging is to be so good, it does not matter. If they game is close expect tons of BS calls.

Because the two Eastern teams are in massive markets with national fan bases and the two western teams are small markets with small fan bases. It isn't hard to figure out, is it?

But this has been the only time they've been steamrolling teams. The previous 4 times they went to the Finals they were in close games throughout the Playoffs.

But OKC has fan favorite superstars in Westbrook and Durant, so the ratings should be better. Also if your a good team you can still get past the rigging. If the Kings were playing better towards the end of the 02 WCF they would of beaten LA despite the refs cheating for the Lakers.

The worst display of BS calls I've ever seen was how the Heat were pretty much handed the championship in 2006 against the Mavs.

Lol the Mavs bascially gave the series away themselves with stupid plays. And lets be honest you give up a 2-0 series lead and a nice lead in the 3rd game to go up 3-0 but blow it and make dumb decisions on the court you deserve to lose the series.

I was rooting for the Heat back then. But c'mon, despite how much the Mavs choked, Wade was getting some ridiculous calls.

All superstars get calls for them. Still the Mavs should of overcame all that, good teams do.

Rondo = Revis island

That pick off Lebron was just nasty

I realize The Heat are up 2-0 (2-1, likely in an hour) and The Celtics are playing at home, but the lack of urgency is humiliating. Now's not the time to fall asleep Miami.

It is typical... and it's ****ing disgusting. No one outside LeBron is playing worth a damn. Half a damn for Chalmers, who is at least trying.

Bloody hell.

Yep. I realize Miami was never going to sweep Boston (The Celtics are too deep and talented for that) but The Heat just took it easy out there tonight. They straight up half-assed everything (not running up and down the court at full speed, not swarming the ball on defense, s***ty ball security, aimless plays, etc).

Show some pride and effort in losing, at least, Miami. Sheesh.
