Why the hell do The Heat do this?

They should have been playing like this since the first quarter.

Well Boston won this game, looks like we got a series now. Sadly Boston should be ready to go up 2-1 not be down 1-2 as they should of won game 2.

The worst display of BS calls I've ever seen was how the Heat were pretty much handed the championship in 2006 against the Mavs.

Vince McMahon could not come up with better scripts.
Keep your flailing attempts at commentary limited to actual basketball instead of stupid conspiracies or be removed. Pretty simple.

Definitely. Hopefully that loss will motivate Miami to step it up again. They took it too easy tonight.

I wouldn't go that far. If both Bos & OKC lose the next game, it's still probably over in 5. But personally, I'd love two Game 7's :woot:

I'm glad Boston won, makes this a series now.

Michael Jordan famously said that the playoff series has not officially started until one of the teams loses at home. It is an interesting quote. If OKC and Boston can both continue to respond at home and each win game four, then we are looking at a brand new series.

Anyway, good game tonight. Boston did what Boston needed to do. In game 2 Rondo responded. In game 3 the Celtics responded. It is what they needed. If they can keep playing like this, it could go to six or seven.

Another note, Spo needs to be fired. The guy responds to nothing. And I don't mean Jim Caldwell's lack of emotion (though they are both puppets). I mean he never adapts.

At any rate, the Celtics showed tonight that they are capable of hanging with the Heat and winning games. Now we are going to see if they can keep it up. Should be fun to watch.

Hey listen, call me crazy but am I the only one who thought they called it kind of towards Boston in the first half? I know calls fluctuate but I think they were making up for game 1 and 2 because it got so much attention.

I didn't feel like there were an abnormal amount of calls (certainly not like Wednesday with 24 trips to the line for one player) but I will say this....I feel like NBA refs try to influence games. I know that this is all a bit conspiracy theory-ish, but David Stern realizes what kind of ratings this series is getting. He realizes that these are two huge markets. I'm just saying...the NBA would have a vested interest in keeping this going to seven. But no, I don't think that is the case. I think that NBA refs are just a fickle and incompetent bunch who also get a bit power hungry and whistle happy. I am just throwing that other thought out there.

Yes. Spo never makes adjustments... EVER. The guy has to be fired if The Heat fail to win the title this year. Miami has gotten this far just solely based on experience and talent alone.

It absolutely wasn't coaching that got Miami through Indiana. It was an angered Wade and LeBron responding to criticism that got The Heat here.

I think when they made calling a technical on someone much more broad a lot of NBA refs got power hungry. I mean you can't even have a conversation with some refs now without getting a technical.

I just think it's human nature when you have 20,000 people screaming at a call, to call it, whether it's right or not. I feel it's why the calls tend to fluctuate when a team is home vs away, all those people hollering in unison is a powerful thing. It would certainly influence me subconsciously.

By the way, RIP to Orlando Woolridge. Maybe not the perfect "Pippen" but he was a force in MJ's early years. Iceman coming off the bench, they had a few pieces back then...

Well J and I have been saying this for years now. I mean, he took out all his starters with a minute left and they were only down 11. That was beyond ridiculous to me and even caught Doc off guard trying to get his bench guys in the game.

Pretty much. Spo should have been fired long ago.

Hah.

Take notice Miami, San Antonio is now getting exposed. After losing two straight games, I can safely say The Spurs are in deep ****. The series is now tied and the momentum is clearly with The Thunder.

Speed kills.

Miami better win game four or they'll be in deep **** too.

That was a pretty crazy ass turnaround. Still can't believe Ibaka came with the offense like he did. Ibaka?

The Heat better get with the program early tonight. Huge world of difference between 3-1 and 2-2.

Durant's 16 straight was reminiscent of LeBron scoring 29 of his teams final 30 against the Pistons.

So glad OKC evened up the series. If they lose, I have no one left to root for.
