People underestimate Eli. The man can play clutch. And that defense can be scary.

And Aaron Rodgers isn't? It will be a good game, but I don't think that New York can stop Green Bay's offense. They're just too explosive. This happens every year. A team gets hot to clinch a wild card spot, plays well in the wild card and everyone forgets that the top seeds got the bye week for a reason.

Let's not forget, this is the same New York team that dropped 4 in a row in November and lost to Washington less than a month ago. They may have played well and built momentum, but look at who they beat. The imploding Jets and Cowboys and the Falcons who were badly matched and are still a young team with several holes.

I just don't see New York going to Lambeau and winning. My prediction: Green Bay Packers 38, New York Giants 21

Im pulling for a Giants/Ravens superbowl . As a Giants fan , I want revenge for 2000

Consider it brought :awesome:

If that happened, I'd wish for the 49ers to mop the floor with those Ravens. That game would be all defense, though. I'd much prefer a Patriots vs. Saints/Packers game. That'd be an all offensive game.

My ravens are ready, its our time now.

Giants 34 - Packers 31 . Green Bay misses a fg to send the game to ot

That would mean that Jim will have advanced much farther as head coach then he did as an NFL QB.

However, it would be a Super Bowl with two average QBs and one of them (Alex Smith) was mediocre before this season. Don't know if that happens.

And did anyone hear Charley Casserly yesterday on CBS? He mentioned a possible destination for Peyton Manning should Indy let him go.

Calling Alex Smith average is very kind. I don't see Peyton leaving Indy, but if he does, he probably will go to San Fran. And that makes San Fran very, very scary next season.

We had two average QB's in 2000 and 2002.

That could also happen.

If Green Bay wins, they will most likely be the NFC Representative in the Super Bowl. If they beat New York by 17 and New Orleans gets past San Francisco, Green Bay vs. New Orleans could be an entertaining game.

Casserley mentioned Arizona.

Also, Houston and Detroit in Playoffs = Appearances on Sunday Night Football in 2012 for the first time ever.

Don't get me wrong, I still believe that it's going to be a Saints/Packers NFC championship game. I'm just saying that Eli and the Giants are severely underestimated. Let's go back a few years. Same scenario and look what happened? The Giants got rings. The playoffs are a whole new beast. I'm predicting one hell of a Packers/Giants game.

They'd get their shots next year anyway, me thinks. We sure had some doo doo games on Sunday Night Football. Monday Night Football has been abysmal this season.

If we get the same flacco that shoed up week 1 and other games that matter then we'll be fine. If we get the one that showed up against the jags oh my.

Wait was it 2002 or 2003? When was the Bucs vs Raiders Super Bowl?

If that same Joe from the Jacksonville game shows up, he may be in the same hot water that Mark Sanchez is in now.

If Jeff Fisher goes to St. Louis, he'll turn the Rams around and they could give S.F. a run for it if they ever decide to build an offense around Sam Bradford and Steven Jackson. Arizona and Seattle need QB's.

Fisher would have been perfect for San Diego.

Agreed but jennings is just coming off that sprained knee so how healthy is he really? I say the packers test him early. Lock up nelson and jennings and make the old driver, rookie cobb and unpredictable james jones beat you. The packers not having a running game will really hurt them.
Jennings has had a good bit of time to recover. The thing about locking up Nelson and Jennings both, is that it's nearly impossible, especially if Aaron Ross is playing.

That doesn't mean anything when it comes to the playoffs. The Broncos entered the playoffs with 3 straight losses and beat, IMO, one of the best teams in the AFC.
They beat what was once a contender for best in AFC, with a ton of backbreaking injuries. If the Steelers just woulda sat Ben for the last two weeks of the regular season, it's a different game, not even considering Mendenhall and the injuries on defense.

Game of the year, I'd say.

Casserley mentioned Arizona.

I don't like that move for the Cards. While I'm sure that between Whisenhunt, Manning and Fitzgerald, that would suddenly be the most explosive offense in the NFL, it is also incredibly short sighted. Josh Skelton is just coming into his own and could very well become the future of that franchise. To bench him in favor of a QB who will last one or two years (if that) is a dumb move. I say that they should let Skelton grow a bit and baptize him by fire as an NFL starter next season and see where it goes.

I'm not. The Giants are just too inconsistent and the talent isn't the same as it was in 2007 nor is the NFC the same. Look at who the giants beat. An aged Tampa Bay that desperately needed rebuilt, a Dallas team that wasn't nearly as good as their record implied and Green Bay which was an old team, also in need of rebuilding. This year, to get to the NFC championship, the G-Men will have to beat the best offense in the NFL and then either the second best offense in the NFL or the best defense. I don't see it happening.

Skelton showed something this year.

Interesting fact: the Giants have defeated people with the last name "Ryan" for three week in a row.

Peyton and Fisher to Miami.

Personally, I think Peyton to Arizona would be something.

I just don't see Indy be willing to pay both Payton and Luck so much money and leave him way over the cap, even though it's the QB position. They won't have much of anything else if they do that.

Casserley mentioned Arizona.

Isn't Arizona still paying the premium for their current QB, Kevin Kolb? What is his guaranteed money if they cut him?

So, Peyton is definitely leaving Indianapolis?

Shows how much people paid attention to the cards this year. :oldrazz:
He did take a 1-6 team and finish 8-8. Which is actually better than what a certain guy named Timothy did in Denver this year.

Remember, if the Giants do face the Saints in the title game, it'll be in New Orleans, where they already got wrecked into oblivion a few weeks ago. I just don't see it happening this year for the Giants.

Houston has an interesting situation at QB in the offseason: who to keep as Schaub's backup? I'd like to see them keep TJ Yates.
