Im a follower of the church of Payton and all praise to Lord Breesus.

Come on now, the Pirates were phenomenal this year up until a few months ago when they started to slide. They'll be fantastic next year and I'm calling it that they win their division. But yeah the Steelers suck woo go Vikings.

Phenomenal? :lmao: No they weren't. The Pirates early success was misleading. They had a really soft first half of the season where they played Chicago and Houston A LOT and St. Louis, Cinci, and Milwaukee only a few times each. In other words they played the soft teams in their division a disporpotionate amount of times in the first half of the season and had a disporportionately low amount of games against the stronger teams. It gave an illusion of being good when in reality they were only better than the other two bottom feeders of that division.

As for the owners, they don't care. They took the first chance they got to raise prices (before even providing a winning season), they resigned their crappy GM, and when the trade deadline came and they were still in contention what did they do? They traded one of their absolute best prospects for an outfielder that they didn't need or use and a first baseman who was only marginally better than the one that they already had. They made no moves to help them in their run and instead took the cheapest options possible. And then when they started playing the tougher teams of the rest of their schedule, they predictably fell apart.

They are still the same poorly run, mediocre team that they always are. This is the team that makes a profit off of shared revenue. They will continue to chase their own tails until fans stop attending and force Nutting to sell and a real owner steps in.

Delusional, in what way?
Your first post here was distracting from the issue suggesting I'm in favour of coddling the QBs. I'm not. I just think they're as entitled to keep their heads as every other player on the field is...
He's made a habit of hitting around the head, facemasking and well... pretty much tearing people's f***ing heads off.

No, I've used two emphatic instances where my point is clear to see.

That's what an example is. A clear instnce which demonstrates your point. Do you seriously expect me to go back over his entire career and show every dirty play he's ever been a part of? I think the examples I've given are enough to show what I'm talking about.

My comment regarding Troy was that I haven't seen it to know how good a comparison it makes to the Delhomme incident. I can't comment on what I haven't seen.

A dirty or negligent incident does not make a dirty player... A histroy and tendency to play dirty makes a dirty player.

I still don't view the Delhomme incident as ccidental negligence, I view it as malicious intent. You don't go from the facemask to grappling the guy's f***ing head and slinging him away like that from an accidental facemask.

I could post Moby Dick and end it with "Suh is a dirty player" and it wouldn't constitute a decent rational argumet either...

Actually it was Matt that used the term coddling, as a matter of fact he summed this entire thing up when he said you can't advocate for hard hitting Defense while coddling the QB.

I take that back, this entire shindig is summed up even more perfect from your statement, you view it as malicious intent. From that singular viewpoint, everything he does is looked at under that assumption which then makes your lack of actual reasoning a little more clear. No, that was unfair, a bit too chippy but that's where this is headed with a number of veiled insults thus far.

In any case, I've spent what 2 or 3 pages arguing this with you and nothings changed, so I'll pass on further wasting away a perfectly good Sunday.

G'Day Sir.:awesome:

Well not a good Football day for me today. The three teams I hate are winning their fast halfs which means a horrible Pick Em week for me as of now

Damn, Mendenhall's actually playing like a top RB in the NFL.

Oh & I'll give Carolina some credit, they're ALL over Rodgers every play.

How many ****ing times are they ****ing going to ****ing show that ****ing new ****ing JLO Commercial ? Holy ****ing ****

No, Matt summed up your side of an argument (which I was never having, because I was talking about the high hits and facemasking, which is a global view and not limited to QBs) by saying you can't advocate hard defense while coddling the QB.

I have hours to waste... heh.

Although I shoud probably try and sleep. I'll record the rest of the Packers game...

Might as well start printing these up...

They've lost their best offensive player and their 2nd best defensive player.
They're finished.

Is it wrong that I was truly hoping that the rapist's "injury," was a career ender?

At absolute best he committed date rape. He used his money and influence to get an underage girl into a club, bought her drinks to the point where she was 8 TIMES THE LEGAL LIMIT (no one could possibly consent under those conditions) and then molested her in the bathroom. That is best case scenario for him. Still rape, even if he didn't force the legs apart (which he probably did).

He might be a molester and a sick son of a ***** but he didn't RAPE(Penetrate) the girl. Also you shouldn't wish harm on anybody. Don't level down.

Now you're just arguing semantics. :oldrazz:

And how exactly do you know that he did not penetrate her? The rape kit performed on her did show forceful penetration, there just wasn't enough sperm to warrant comparison testing.
