I believe in Tim Tebow.

I'm sure he's looking at her cleavage out of the corners of his eyes. :hehe:

Top 5 post of the year...

Thanks!

Speaking of Siciliano and Davis, I was watching NFLN a while back when the two of them were on... when those two guys stand side by side, it's pretty much the ying and yang of ear protrusion. Siciliano's got a pair of ears that stretch out from his head so far he looks like the illegitimate child of Prince Charles and Alfred E. Neuman. He looks like a hang-glider with eyes. And Davis is the absolute reverse. His ears actually looked like they've been sucked into two craters that exist on opposite sides of his skull.

Weird observation, I know. But seriously, check it out sometime and you'll see what I mean.

Tim: Hey baby, would you like to get Teboned?

Hot girl: Sure... but wait, aren't you an uber-religious virgin who is waiting until marraige and all of that?

Tim: Yeah, but we're in Vegas and there's a chapel next door.

Hot girl: Sweet!

^ If Tebow could somehow resist hitting that like he was Ike Turner playing Whack-a-Mole than perhaps he truly is the son of the All Mighty....

Well, his voice is actually kinda high pitched. Maybe his balls just haven't dropped yet.

If he can resist, then I'd have to question his sexual orientation. :o

Well people that are crowning Tebow need to calm down. That goes from anaylsts (which seem to just give positive praise constantly for whatever is popular) to apologists. Was it not that long ago that Vince Young came into the NFL and in his first season when he took over for Kerry Collins won a ton of games for the Titans down the stretch just juking defenders while having awful passing ability? Now look where he is. The Broncos haven't really played any true playoff teams that are Super Bowl contenders. Tebow could be a good player in this league, but his passing skills are going to have to improve vastly. This little streak isn't going to work long term for the franchise. Elway probably knows this. It will be interesting to see how he performs against the Bears and the Patriots back to back.

Fans of his just desperately want to be right about Tim Tebow, but the fact is his critics have already been proven correct since last year.

He can't throw.

As a QB in the NFL, don't know if his fanatics are aware of this, you need to be able to throw the ball competently. Tebow, obviously, cannot perform that feat to save his own life.

It's only a matter of time before this 'Wild Card' formation is figured out and Tim is forced to throw 30-40 passes (thus leading to a 2-4 interceptions) once more. He's been lucky so far, Tim should at least have 6-7 interceptions at this point but DBs and LBs have dropped his passes.

Fox and Elway are just waiting for that one game and it's lights out.

Yeah, that's pretty much the truth.

What amazes me is that they always talk about his "intangibles" and his work ethic and all of that. I think I would buy into that a little bit more if he wasn't still throwing as poorly and slowly as he did before he was drafted. The fact that he hasn't improved means one of two things: Tebow either A. hasn't put in the hard work needed to improve or B. doesn't have the talent to play at the NFL level.

You could argue that the lockout might have slowed his development and perhaps he's not working with the best people, but these coaches should at least be able to help him throw like an NFL quarterback, even if it's only a mediocre one. That's what they do. If they can't do that, then most likely it means that Tebow will never truly be successful unless he continues to only play teams that can't handle a guy who completes one bubble screen and one deep ball per game.

No analyst on ESPN or the NFL Network can argue with those points. In fact, they don't. These analysts can only say:

All that matters is the W.

Very well, but they're aware that Tebow's days are numbered if cannot complete passes.

I believe that both Elway and Fox have already gave up on Tebow, but since Orton wasn't winning anyway they figured that they'd toss Tebow out there to satisfy his rabid fans. They thought that if he started losing, the Tebow-mania would dissipate over time, and they can replace him with either Orton or another QB who can actually throw and fits the mold of a NFL QB. That's why they let him run the Options and appears to have stopped forcing him to learn how to throw properly. Now that he has won 3 out of 4, both Elway and Fox are in a bind, but I guess it's sort of a win-win situation for them; if Tebow loses, they can get rid of him (which is what they wanted), but if Tebow wins, they'd look like geniuses for starting him in the first place.

Seeing highlights this morn, Tim still throws the ball like it weighs 20 pounds.

Yeah, pretty much. Either way, they come out of it looking okay. I just wish one of these "analysts" on NFLN or ESPN would have the balls to stop softballing it when they ask these guys questions. When they talked to Elway before the game yesterday, how refreshing would it have been to hear someone say: "So John, how does it feel to be playing the role of Captain Figurehead, making no real decisions about the team where you buillt your legacy, but rather simply brought in to quell the wrath of a rabid fanbase divided between old Broncos fans that know the team won't make the post-season for another 10 years unless all of the other teams in the AFC West get infected with bubonic plague, and a bunch of bandwagon-jumping Biblethumpers who think Tim Tebow has been personally sent down by God to revert football back six decades like Rick Perry trying to turn back the clock on American politics?"

I think both ESPN and NFLN are just on the Tebow bandwagon because it's hard to say Tebow sux when he is winning right now; they'd look stupid and appears as if they have an agenda against a popular player who appeases to the Bible Belt fans if they keep slamming him after he wins. Even John Elway is saying all the right things but privately he's probably not happy about letting a QB who can't throw be the face of their franchise.

Btw, do you guys think Jets can still make the playoff? Or are they already doomed at 5-5?

I think the Jets are done, mainly because of Sanchez. But they've gotten in before, despite sub-pur performances from him, so you never know. Sanchez sucks in the regular season but puts up good numbers in the playoffs.

You know, based on the way the media acted this morning, I would have never guessed that Tebow went 9 for 20 with only about 100 passing yards! The kid just can't throw and if you can't throw you can't play quarterback in the NFL. It is really that simple. Like Vince Young before him, once defensive coordinators start to get a read on him, that'll be it. Now if he'd quit being so damn stubborn and agree to play fullback, he'd be going to Hawaii.

I'm just waiting for a game where they have to face an elite QB like Rodgers, and had to play catch up when they're down by a pair of TD or more. Tebow's preference of running will become a hinderance because they really depend on their underrated defense to keep the game close so Tebow can be Tebow.

Yeah, I hope someone blows them out 59-0. It's coming. It has to be.

Also, how do you guys think Houston will fare with...

Yep. And sadly, Fox and Elway know this. But Elway is just a figure head and Fox can't overrule GM, Xander Ellis (who is also probably aware that Tebow is a joke but doesn't want to admit to the mistake that was trading up to draft him).

I'm in the minority that thinks that he will do well. Kubiak's system is far more accomodating to Leinhart than any system he played in during his time in 'Zona. He's playing west coast offense again. Could lead to a resurgence.

Maybe. It's hard to imagine a guy who lost his starting job to Derek Anderson being effective, but you never know. Still, maybe it is a system thing. Guess we'll find out.

Adam Schefter has a article up on ESPN talking about the trade deadline and I agree with him that we need to push the trade deadline closer to November.

October 18th is not a good time for the deadline

He looks so odd throwing the ball and I couldn't put my finger on why.

You have absolutely nailed it. That's exactly what it looks like.

Sanchez was throwing the ball like a paper airplane when he was trying to air it deep

John Fox secretly hides a shot put in the ball before he allows Tebow to throw it. :woot:
