I still say that if the Colts draft Luck, they need to force Peyton out. They can't have their cake and eat it too. Peyton got paid $26 million this year for doing nothing. He will be paid $28 million next year. Luck is going to be at MINIMUM $10 million on their cap. So that will be nearly $40 million towards two quarterbacks, one of whom is warming the bench. Luck doesn't need a learning period. He is NFL ready. Keeping him on the bench will only cause him to stagnate. Even a GM as stupid as Bill Polian needs to realize that drafting Luck while keeping Manning is stupid.

Agreed. Andrew doesn't seem to be the kind of QB you draft to sit on the bench for a while.

Guys. Let's not speculate over the Peyton Manning fiasco, and let me tell you about this guy Drew Brees...

:awesome:

Dude Manning is not a fiasco (as much as I HATE the Manning family being a Bolts fan) he did get hurt. I have a feeling that the Colts will try to draft Luck and Keep Manning until Luck is ready (Montana-Young) or Payton gets hurt again (Brees-Rivers).

I am a fan of Brees just like I am a fan of LT!

But Luck isn't some late first to third round pick that you draft in the hopes of grooming. He is ready to go and the price that his agent will demand will reflect that. To draft Luck to have him sit on the bench is a waste of precious cap space.

this game is going as I expected....Giants weren't going to beat Breesus in the dome unless they had a monster start

Yeah, looks like the Saints are sticking the fork into the Giants playoffs hopes.

Heh, yeah that too. Wonder if those rumors of Cowher going to New York or San Diego are going to start soon. :oldrazz:

Haha, the Ravens were named the most overrated team in the NFL.

They seem locked for the worst record. Next 2 games against the Patriots and Ravens.

If they do get Luck, I wonder if we've seen the last of Peyton in a Colts uniform.

I find it very hard to believe that they would draft Luck only to bench him.

Who said they were the most overrated team? Was it like a fan poll or something? I woudn't say they're overrated at all. They have a shot at going all the way they just have to play well and not like they did against the Jaguars and the Seahawks. :oldrazz:

You could say the same thing about the Steelers. Almost lost to a Kansas City team with a backup quarterback that has hardly had any playing time.

I hope they draft Luck...

And trade Peyton...

And Luck turns out to be a bigger bust than JaMarcus... :D

They won't trade Peyton. If anything, he retires and officially joins the Colts' staff.

Yeah, it was some fan poll they just announced on MNF.

I wouldn't call them overrated either but I do get annoyed at how the NFL talks them up every season, even when they're not playing particularly well. I do think Ray Lewis is overrated though. Yes, he was a dominating player, but he's at the tail end of his career now and everyone knows it, which is why they're always going on about how much he means to the team and how he builds up the other players and all of that bullsh**.

Kind of agree. I mean the Ravens D seemed to play just fine without him against the Niners on Thursday. I just hope that the Ravens can drop some losses and the Steelers can win out and get a better position in the playoffs. :woot: And then defeat them in the playoffs!!

Yeah, that would be sweet. As long as Pittsburgh makes the playoffs (and doesn't lose to the Ravens once they get there) I'll be happy.

I think the Steelers have a solid chance to go all the way as long as they stay focused and get that eye of the tiger that they get when it gets down to the end of the season and in the playoffs.

It pains me to say it, but I don't think so. The AFC is basically up for grabs right now. No one can really be called overrated because the whole damn conference is so inconsistent.

Then you are sorely mistaken. Bill Polian is stupid enough to make the mistake he's already made once (draft a quarterback and hope that he can fix every other blaring problem with his franchise). Once they draft him (and Polian has already indicated that he will), Peyton has the franchise by the balls. They can either cut him and be on the hook for all of that guaranteed money in his contract (which is a **** load), let him ride the bench and collect 30 million dollars off of them, or most likely, play him. I'd guess that they do the latter considering that he has basically run the franchise for the past ten years and familiarity tends to be very comforting to the stupid (Jim Irsay and Bill Polian).

Damn Jacobs, at least wait until it is a one score game to start taunting your opponents like you are blowing them out.
