2013/2014 NFL Thread: Attack of the Matts - Part 2

You're comparing two different QBs from two different eras with two different coaching staffs and two different schemes. Delhomme was a good gunslinger prior to damaging his rotator cuff but if you think Jake is superior then you need to elevate your IQ. Cam didn't get the privilege to play with Smitty in his prime. All Delhomme did back in the day was throw it in the air for Smith and he came down with it. Steve can't do that anymore. He dropped an easy TD pass today in the red zone and a 47 yard bomb while he was wide open. Furthermore, Delhomme played behind one the best O-Lines in the NFL at the time.

I would love to elevate my IQ, just not possible for it to go much higher. :o

I'll toss a bone. Cam deserves a new HC. But I'm not the only fan wanting Anderson to start. Oh wait, who am I kidding. Anderson would be on IR behind this line.

At least with have Olson at TE. He reminds me of.......Wesley Walls? Is that his name? Except Olson has more of a WR body.

It's kinda what I do when I throw multiple picks in a Madden game. Except I just toss the controller onto the sofa and walk out. :o

Naw man. You just unplug the internet connection. Or if you're playing against the computer, switch teams and make the QB throw a pick.

Rivera is going to get fired. I thought he'd be let in January but after today, it's set in stone.

If Gettleman was watching the game today, he shouldn't wait any longer. The players don't respect Ron. It was humiliating watching the Cam and linemen mocking him after he was screaming at them.

I have honor, I'll do no such thing. Besides, the Panthers D is solid in Madden 25.

I didn't see that. I watch/listen to the games...I thought the players respected Ron. Laughing at him....I don't even think that happened to Fox and his Fox Ball playbook. :o Fox's playbook before Peyton was small.

It's not only Cam that deserves a new HC. Our defensive efforts shouldn't go to waste like this. Star, Short, Kuechly and Lester played their asses off today with nothing to show for it.

Yeah, Wesley Walls was his name.

Greg IS a wide receiver. He sucks at blocking so he's essentially a WR playing TE.

It was right after the safety. Cam, Gross, Kalil and Wharton were snickering like little kids after Rivera made his empty threats. It wasn't anything on par with Rivers motioning to Norv to 'go fudging away' but it was degrading. That confirms that Ron has lost the locker room.

:o is he now. Did he play WR in college? I know the play by play or color commentator during games refer to Olsen as a more of a WR.

Jerry Jones uses a flip phone. Soooo....

Only QBs to pass 500 yrds and 5 TDs:

-Norm Van Brocklin: 9/28/1951, 554 yrds (NFL record), 5 TDs, 2 INTs, 54-14 W against the NY Yanks

-Y.A. Tittle: 10/28/1962, 505 yrds, 7 TDs, 0 INTs, 49-34 W against the Redskins

-Matt Stafford: 1/1/2012, 520 yrds, 2 INTs, 41-45 L against Packers

-Matt Schaub: 11/18/2012, 527 yrds, 2 INTs 43-37 W against Jaguars (:facepalm::funny::()

-Tony Romo, 10/6/2013, 506 yrds, 1 INT, 48-51 L against Broncos

I think it says a lot that there are way more QBs going for 400-500 yards in the last 2-3 seasons. And really it's been a trend for the last decade. But it's just crazy now.

Make the players who snicker and laugh run ****ing suicides aka bleachers.

:BA oh..those are two different things? Well, even better.

Well, he runs a 4.51 and can't even block a DB. The Hurricanes used him as a WR on certain occasions, so why not? We might as well draft Ebron from North Carolina and just make Olsen a WR full-time.

Olsen would be a solid #2 WR.

Do NFL players even ruin bleachers? Stadiums? Suicides? Or are NFL players too old for that stuff?

These are grown ass men. It should never get to that point. That's high school stuff.

:o but bleachers are fun.

I'd imagine NFL players would be like 'Man, get yo ass outta here...lol' at me if I asked if they ran bleachers.

Tebow runs bleachers...for his work out.

Oh hey look, Rivers got sacked. And a baseball diamond is on the field. I love seeing two sports collide onto a field. :o:hrt:

Bingo. So to see it happen is symbolic for Rivera's tenure. That'll be his legacy here -- a joke.

Lol, as Warhammer said, this isn't high school. If the players don't respect you as a coach, then it's over. This was a season-defining game and players stopped caring halfway through it.

People actually want D.O.A to start in Carolina? Check my sig, I know how awful that dude is.Be thankful for Cam. :cwink:

Dead. On. Arrival. Now...now................Anderson....can throw it deep. And seems like a decent cheerleader on the sidelines.

They need to let that man run. Hell, Russell Wilson ran for 102 yards today. Let it happen.

Kaep needs to step his game up. I don't know what's happening, but he's been found out, and other defenses are locking him down.

Mike Florio said Minnesota is all but done. I'm sure the official announcement will be tomorrow morning.

My ESPN app sent me an update saying Buffalo was working on signing Freeman. Then I saw this thread. And then the ESPN app told me that Freeman signed with Minnesota.

Interesting to say the least.

OK....so the New York Football Giants are 0-5, and is two games back from the division lead? Man, stop playing.

Look on the bright side. Both our squads will have a very high draft pick in a stacked draft and both our coaching staffs will be gone by next year (long gone).

I don't think Coughlin should go. Even if they finish 4-12. Injuries have plagued this team this year.

Man, I almost feel bad for Tony Romo...almost.
