2013/2014 NFL Thread: The place to get Hernandez'd

I know, I was just joking.

Anyway, the Pats have submitted an offer sheet for Emmanuel Sanders, because apparently they decided their WR corps aren't fumbling enough.

They're doing it to try to mess with the Steelers. Sanders has likely already agreed to an extension once he is a Patriot, and/or the Pats are driving the price up on the Steelers to eliminate what little cap space they have left. That would effectively take the Steelers out of the running for Bradshaw, and possibly force them to cut/restructure yet another player (my money would be on Keisel).

Stunts hit the nail on the head. And if Sanders does go to NE, Belichick will make him amazing. Guaranteed.

Gotta hand it to Bill, I don't like him, but damned if his isn't a brilliant tactician.

My hate for Bill Belichick has slowly become respect over the years. Now if he only stopped whining.

You're probably right, but I think Bill's one weak spot in developing talent is at the WR position. His team has lacked a true #1 receiver for a while and I'm not sure Sanders is that guy. I'm sure Danny Amygdala will look like future Hall of Famer until he tears both ACLs, breaks his collarbone and shatters his pelvis in week 2.

Anyway, in other news, the Ravens' championship off-season just keeps getting weirder...

I gotta say I see the 49ers trading up for either Tavon Austin, Kenny Vaccaro or Cordarrelle Patterson.

And the Steelers match the Patriots offer sheet.

I would love it if The 49ers gave us some of those picks. Star ain't falling so trading down could benefit The Panthers a ton in the first three rounds.

Cyprien SS
Escobar TE

D. Rogers WR
Warfold OG
Hopkins WR
B. Williams DT
Hunter WR

I just read that Cincy are in talks with Harrison from the Steelers. I'd be all for that.

Still just hoping my Raiders and Skins do something this season. My Raiders more than my Skins. I just hope RG3 stays healthy this year.

Here in the lull of the off season, let us take a moment to remember. Always remember...

Jaguaring.

My goodness. Why didn't Pittsburgh just take the chance with a 3rd rounder? They might as well. S***. Even if Sanders ends up having his breakout year, what's the point if he is trying to get the hell out of there?

:down

What pisses me off the most is that we could have easily used that third rounder to get a guy like Ryan Swope, and still had the cap space to sign Ahmad Bradshaw. Now, the only chance we have at Bradshaw is if the Broncos and Packers pass on him until June.

Tells me that we're about to watch Mike Wallace 2.0.

This move seriously pisses me off, as a Steelers fan.

Tomlin and the front office have just shown why they have absolutely NOTHING on Bill Belichick. Mike Tomlin ate right out of Darth Hoodie's hand. Hell, if the Steelers didn't blink, I'm guessing Sanders wouldn't have even made NE's roster after training camp. Steelers folded against a bluff. Absolutely pathetic showing from Tomlin and Co.. What I wouldn't give to have Bill Cowher back. He would've told Sanders not to let the door hit him on the way out.

We need to create a "ing" something for our favorite teams. I will try to come up with Falconing. Rows, you and Matt try Steelering.

I have a feeling Steelering might have something to do with a bathroom stall.

I do have one, though.

The Ravens will open the 2013 season at Denver in a Thurs night kickoff. Full NFL schedule to be released tonight

Maybe I was reading too much into it, but it seemed that the NFL Network correspondents were almost indignant that MLB didn't move their game.
