huge for the rams

@AdamSchefter
St. Louis Rams have agreed to terms with Nick Fairley, per source.

@RapSheet
#Rams signed DT Nick Fairley on a 1-year deal worth $5M base, source said. He can make up to $7.5M in incentives. A prove-it deal.

Darren McFadden is signing with the Dallas Cowboys.

It'll be interesting to see if their line can protect him, and give him more space than Oakland's (which failed him his entire tenure). If so, he could be deadly in that offense. They just better hope he doesn't get injured in the first five minutes of the season like he usually does.

Fixed.

Also, I see the Redskins hired homophobic turd Chris Culliver.

Report: Saints In Process Of Trading WR Kenny Stills To The Dolphins

Man, is anyone going to be left on the Saints by the time free agency ends? Why don't they go ahead and trade Sean Payton while their at it.

But I'm sure they'll keep THE GREAT ROB RYAN, because even though their defense was dogsh** last year, that's 100% the players' faults and their brilliant defensive coordinator, who has helmed such legendary defenses as the 2009 Cleveland Browns and the 2012 Dallas Cowboys, is in no way to blame and should be given a contract for life. After all, his father was a coach and so is his brother, and that means something.

Hearing Kenny Stills was traded for a linebacker and a draft pick. Will have more shortly. #Saints

@ProFootballTalk
Dolphins will get WR Kenny Stills, Saints get LB Dannell Ellerbe and Miami's third-rounder, per source.

Are you serious?

We are arguing perspectives... so really how serious can this be? :woot:

- Mathews is a bust because he has NEVER been healthy. I've watched his entire career at San Diego. He was the Chargers' version of Darren McFadden. Kelly just wasted money here.

His career numbers are:
2010 - 2014: 923 Rushing atts 4,061 Yards 4.4 avg 23 tds.

For a guy who is "NEVER HEALTHY" - that's a ton of carries in 5 years. I will take him in a RB by committee with Murray, him, and Sproles. Share the touches, minimize the injuries. Hopefully... right?

- Murray finally played a full season last year. I don't care how you slice it. That's still not comforting. DeMarco has been on the injury list every week for either a shoulder, or ankle, or toe, or knee, or wrist, or etc. There's a reason why the Cowboys let the league's leading rusher walk away.

So based on last years stats, he was a beast and he led the league in most yards after initial contact... yea - he is completely an injury waiting to happen.

- Bradford is bad fortune personified. If you thought Foles wasn't going to take you to the promise land then cool, but if you believe Sam will... :lmao:

I think Sam is better equipped to run this offense (hurry-up spread option was his college offense) than Foles. But like i said, I am not completely ok with offloading a cheap Foles for a pricey, banged up Bradford... but i still think a healthy Bradford gives us a much better chance of winning in this offense than a healthy Foles in this offense.

In a two year span, you guys have lost McCoy, Jackson, Maclin, Foles, etc. It will (and it already did) catch up to Chip. Team chemistry is a real thing, especially at the QB position. Sam Bradford is coming from a West Coast system that featured Tavon Austin and Zac Stacey, and he still couldn't get them involved. So not only have you guys lost your only vertical threats but you've lost the only guy who could deliver a throw beyond 15 yards. Good luck with that.

Mccoy: He wanted too much money... we got a baller middle LB, Murray, and a draft pick for roughly $1M more than Shadys new contract... umm.. yes please. He danced too much. he will be great in buffalo. he can dance behind that line all game long.

Jackson - Prima Donna who NEVER showed up for playoff games or games when the opposing team had a decent secondary. was he good? yes. did we miss him? yes. i wish we got draft picks for him or something - but he was a locker room distraction so I get why Chip canned him.

Maclin - He wanted too much money. Chiefs were willing to pay - eagles weren't. he is from MO so going home to play with the man who drafted him for more money makes sense. sometimes players just want to go play elsewhere.

Foles - Chip didn't see him fitting in... he knows what he wants a heck of a lot better than you and I know. So i trust that he knows what he is doing. Something about Bradford caught his eye. Do i know what it is? nope - but i am ok with him dumping Foles for Bradford.

The "This is the NFL, anybody can get injured" excuse is just that. The fact remains, The Philly Ducks acquired three very unreliable players.

We off-loaded 3 players who in the past 3 years all missed substantial time due to MAJOR injuries... and 2 of them just signed for way too much money.

DeAngelo Williams still at #Steelers facility; looks like a deal will be struck. Were waiting for Mike Tomlin's arrival from OSU Pro Day

Don't get me wrong, I believe Fairley can thrive in our defense, but couldn't we have used this money somewhere else like...I don't know...a WR or an O-Lineman!!

I mean, the Rams have taken a D-lineman in the first round just about every year for the last 3 or 4, so why are we signing free agent D-Linemen?

The Saints have signed CJ Spiller and Percy Harvin is headed to Buffalo.

So the Dolphins got rid of Ellerbe and his big contract and got a speedy young WR which allows them to possibly trade Mike Wallace and his bloated contract to a desperate team? Or they might just release him. I don't think anyone would want the trade for the amount they'd have to pay.

Although they need a WR to go with Stills and Landry. Draft maybe unless they decide to keep Wallace. Though Jordan Cameron can get a lot of yards & TD's...when healthy.

PS Jeff Ireland is a talent scout for the Saints now? This all suddenly makes sense! Beware, they'll be the 'Aints again the day Brees retires.

Speculation is that Mike Wallace is moseying on up the road to Minnesota. No one seems to know what for. I figured he'd last another year before getting moved/released because of the big cap number next year.

Vikings traded 5th-round pick to Miami for WR Mike Wallace and 7th-round pick, per league source.

Well, Mikey's career isn't over yet. He still hasn't played for the Raiders. :sly:

If you guys have found an ingenious way for Mathews not to be tackled on the gridiron or to score from the bench, then yeah. Sure.

So based on last years stats, he was a beast and he led the league in most yards after initial contact... yea - he is completely an injury waiting to happen.

Again, he has been on the weekly injury report for majority of his career. Being an Eagle fan, I'm shocked you aren't aware of such details regarding your rivals.

In addition, The Cowboys have the best OL in the NFL. Murray is not replicating the same season he had with the Cowboys this year.

I think Sam is better equipped to run this offense (hurry-up spread option was his college offense) than Foles. Agree to disagree. To reiterate, Foles could fire a rocket down the field. Bradford is the complete opposite of that. He's an Alex Smith model with less mobility. Ask Ram fans about Sam's inability to complete a throw beyond 15 yards.

Mccoy: He wanted too much money... we got a baller middle LB, Murray, and a draft pick for roughly $1M more than Shadys new contract... umm.. yes please. He danced too much. he will be great in buffalo. he can dance behind that line all game long.

While I grant you Eagles the winners of Alonso-McCoy trade, that still doesn't negate the fact that Kelly just traded away a Top Three RB for a LB who has two torn ACLs in four years. Kiko is one away from being finished. He's not Thomas Davis.

Wrong. Shady is the most elusive back in the NFL outside Bell. That's exactly the type of RB you needed behind your OL. Power Backs can't create their own opportunities.

Jackson - Prima Donna who NEVER showed up for playoff games or games when the opposing team had a decent secondary. was he good? yes. did we miss him? yes. i wish we got draft picks for him or something - but he was a locker room distraction so I get why Chip canned him.

Not really. Let's not pretend Kelly wanted Jackson out because he was a distraction or a cancer. If that were the case, Riley wouldn't be on the squad. DeSean was and still is one of the most threatening WRs that can blow off the tops of defenses.

Maclin - He wanted too much money. Chiefs were willing to pay - eagles weren't. he is from MO so going home to play with the man who drafted him for more money makes sense. sometimes players just want to go play elsewhere.

Maclin is a #2 receiver and he played like a #1 last season in the absence of Jackson. If you want both speed and hands on a receiver, then you gotta pay. Those type of weapons don't come cheap.

He was your last deep threat. Kelly better hope he finds a gem in the draft or else your offense will be as slow as ours.

Foles - Chip didn't see him fitting in... he knows what he wants a heck of a lot better than you and I know. So i trust that he knows what he is doing. Something about Bradford caught his eye. Do i know what it is? nope - but i am ok with him dumping Foles for Bradford.

I'm certain if Kelly had signed Tim Tebow, you'd find a way to praise him and proclaim how he fits in your system too. Nobody believes Bradford > Foles. If Chip can't draft Mariota, you guys are boned. I'm willing to go on a sig bet on that one.

We off-loaded 3 players who in the past 3 years all missed substantial time due to MAJOR injuries... and 2 of them just signed for way too much money.

Surely you're not talking about who's overspending? That would be ironic as hell considering who you recently signed and gave away.

Don't really know how I feel about that. Yeah, effectively Stills replaces him and offers a lot of the same at much lower cost, but Wallace is a pretty good receiver. It just sucks that the (only?) thing he really excels at is something Tanny can't connect on; the deep ball... which is sooooooo frustrating. However, you try to play to personnel and Cameron and Clay (hopefully) fit better into Tannehill's skill set. Still think we could have gotten more in return.

@RapSheet
WR Kenny Britt is staying with the #Rams, source said. It’s a 2-year deal worth up to almost $14M. He got 4.3M guaranteed. Wow.

^ that's surprising

now that locker has retired, it's time for tebow to make a comeback :awesome:

@AdamSchefter
Reggie Bush and 49ers reached agreement, per sources. Bush back in California.
