2015 NFL Thread: More of Matt Moore!

I doubt he gets a lengthy suspension. I'm gonna say 4 games at most. Anything more would be surprising to me.

The league suddenly decides the preseason count as real games.

I've talked with a lot of football fans over the week about DeflateGate and most of them think it's been completely over blown. There are people calling for a full season ban. I'm not Tom Brady's biggest fan, but I think that's WAY too much. Baseball pitchers for using illegal substances get 10 games. Which in a sense is only 2 for them.

I think 4 games is the right number. It's equivalent to what PED users get. I would say 2 games, but this was a Championship game and he refused to cooperate with investigators.

Tom Brady suspended for 4 games. Pats lose a 1st round pick next year then a 4th round pick the following year plus a 1M fine.

Brady should have got 6 games IMO.

4 games for the deflator. The Pats lose their first round pick next year, and a fourth round in 2017.

I just got bouldered. :funny:

And of course he comes back for the Colts game. :sus

When they still start 4-0, I'm going to break something.

It's only going to be 2 games after the appeal.

Possible, though considering the appeal can be handled internally, there is a good chance it stands. I love how he cheated against us, but gets to play against us.

He will appeal to 2 because the NFL doesn't want to lose money on the boys v pats game.

It's a Sunday Night game too which means NBC is going to over hype the s**t out of it.

I'm going to go out on a limb, the Patriots will win the first game he comes back either Cowboys or Colts.

Seeing quite a few defenders but I'm wondering if it's mostly Patriot fans and/or Goodell haters.

I'm certainly no Pats fan, and it is somewhat awesome watching them squirm now, however the punishment handed out by Goodell is kind of BS.

The Wells report has nothing other than "probability" that something was done to the balls. There's no proof of anything really. Brady is now getting punished not for deflating the balls but for some ridiculous "failure to comply with the investigation" charge for basically not turning over his cell phone to the league, which he didn't legally have to do anyway.

Goodell effectively oversees a Kangaroo Court when it comes to discipline in the league. Where the sentences dont necessarily fit the crime (allegedly) committed, they seem to based more on how the general public reacts afterwards (Peterson, Rice) or how much you comply with whatever the NFL asks of you (Brady). Whether you beat your spouse, take PED's, or tamper with game balls is irrelevant.

Why do people keep on blaming Goodell? He didn't hand out this punishment.

The only thing that upsets me about the whole Brady suspension is that I'm pretty sure they play the Steelers week one, total bs. #FreeBrady

Greg Hardy appears to be wearing out his welcome in Dallas already. I guess Rivera was holding him together after all.

Unfiltered Greg Hardy, huh? Good luck with that, Jerry!
