Joseph's resume certainly goes beyond this season, but this is an odd year for him to get a HC spot.

Good for him though. Wish he was coming back. I liked how he shifted some the assignments of the D-line and was able to let those guys get a decent pass rush. I can't hold much fault on him for how bad the defense was in totality. Not with the personnel at LB (particularly here) and in the secondary (post the injury to Jones).

The Bengals' secondary was fantastic when he was here. Wish him all the best.

Word on the street is the Chargers are about to jump ship, and move to LA for next season. Is that the cure for all team ills these days, move to Los Angeles?

Spanos negotiated that last year when the NFL let the Rams move.

Apparently none of the other owners want him to go there since the Rams weren't that well received this past season, but he appears to be hell bent on doing so becuase San Diego told him to "go to hell" when he asked them for public money for a stadium.

I'm disappointed to see the Chargers move to LA, they frickin belong in San Diego.

He isn't wrong...

He isn't wrong about the majority of that. I align with Colin Cowherd on Mike Tomlin but he did two bad things in that clip. He brought up time of possession when Pittsburgh scored two TDs in about 8 minutes. Time of possession was pointless since Pittsburgh ultimately were up 3 scores. And the biggest gripe I have is he brought up how garbage Cincinnati and Cleveland were but disregarded Baltimore completely. This isn't the AFC East.

They should rebrand the Chargers completely name, uniforms, etc.

If & when there's expansion again in San Diego the Chargers can be revived.

Had a dream last night that the Texans upset the Patriots 20-17.

I think they can do it with their defense, but their offense can't go down the field and just kick FG's. Need to score against this team and execute it well. Would love to see them beat the Patriots.

Too late for next season, but I've heard it's a possibility going forward, although since the team was technically born as the LA Chargers in 1960, there would be precedent for them to keep it.

On twitter, I read Dean Spanos' proverbial screw you letter to the people of San Diego. What a load. :down

Day care facilities in San Diego are going to take a huge hit financially with Philip Rivers' 700 children moving to LA.

The Padres react to the Chargers move:

Spanos probably feels that the Chargers got slighted that they didn't get a new stadium before the Padres did.

Also, I made this joke before:

At least the Chargers are not "The Los Angeles Chargers of Anaheim."

Surprised they didnt go with something like "Southern California Chargers" to differentiate themselves from the Rams somewhat and also to be at least somewhat inclusive of their old fanbase which is still in SoCal.

The Rams new coach is Sean McVay, who is the same age as the players.

There were 19 QB's who started this season who were older than him.
