Bernie seems to be kicking Hillary's ass in Utah.

Trump is doing poorly in Utah.
 
Jeez there are people still in line waiting to vote in Phoenix, it's nearly 12:30.

That's pathetic. Where I live the polls were scheduled to close at 7:30 PM, and at 7:30 PM if you weren't already in line you didn't get to vote. They were turning cars away in the parking lot.

I am so frustrated my teeth hurt. And I broke my lamp.

I am from Phoenix. So naturally I spoke to many of my friends and family about voting in Maricopa county. They were in lines around the building until after 10 with their children trying to be a part of the democratic process. At least partially by my urging.

60 polling places for 800,000 people in 2016
200 polling places for 300,000 people in 2012

I'm at the end of my ****ing rope. And I come to this **** ****ing website and I'm sure that I'll get berated for thinking this is an outrage.

I live in Cali now. Mostly just hearing horror stories of long lines and people having to get their kids fed and to bed.

But yeah, I think most everyone I spoke to ended up voting. No idea how many countless people opted out when they called Hillary the winner 6 or 7 hours ago though.

Pr0xy it is an outrage. Of course, no mention of it at all on the mainstream media this morning, search for info on the AZ primary and all you will find is the results. They counted Hillary as the winner at like 8:30, when there was still thousands in line who hadn't voted yet. I found a reddit post this morning I can link you guys to that has a lot more information than what was available last night.

Marvolo, AZ has a similar cut off, in line by 7 you get to vote. Those people still in line at 12:30 were there for hours. People showed up at 6 am and still had lines to wait in. People were leaving because the winner was announced, and in some places, people in those long lines were being told to leave, which is illegal.

Its no wonder people dont want to vote. Between the awful candidates and the incompetence at the polling places. No one has time for this BS.

What caused the most issues at my polls were the new voter ID laws. In 2008 and 2012 it was quick and painless. But this year the ladies at the polls were having to match ID and information with the information they had to make sure people were who they said they were. The line was moving at a snails pace. And after all that trouble they caught a whopping zero attempts of fraud.

At this point, why would they rig an election against someone who is clearly losing. That makes no sense. Basic ineptitude is the more likely reason than shady business going on.

My understanding is the Democratic Party doesn't oversee the primary process, the state of Arizona (with a Republican majority) does which makes the conspiracy theories even more ridiculous.

it might actually give it more credibility, it would give a huge advantage to more conservative areas being able to vote than democratic ones in come general election time:
The board noted that Pima County, Arizona had 130 sites, more than twice as many as Maricopa County, for one-quarter as many voters.

Oh, general election is an issue for sure. But there are people speculating the DNC was responsible for the mess last night as some kind of massive plot to disenfranchise Sanders supporters. If you are going to look for excuses why your candidate didn't win at least do your homework on who runs state elections.
 
Really, what it comes down to is the divisiveness in the Democratic Party of late is really starting to piss me off. I will vote for Clinton in June but if Sanders somehow pulls off a miracle in the next two months and wins the nomination I will vote for him in a heartbeat because I see what is at stake in this election. I don't get the sense a lot of his voters feel the same way and the desperate blame games from his surrogates and basically just ignoring the reality of his chances is giving me flashbacks to Clinton in '08. I remember the same arguments being made from her camp that Obama isn't electable because he was winning red states while Clinton was winning swing states and the dirty politics and baseless insinuations long after it became clear Clinton had no viable pathway to the nomination and its soured me in general on Sanders much the same way it soured me on Clinton then. Clinton isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination but she is going to be the nominee. Continuing to attempt to alienate potential voters that could prevent a Trump presidency just seems counterproductive given the current trajectory of the Democratic primary. It's made me steer clear of Facebook lately because actually seeing people earnestly say a Trump presidency would be no worse than a Clinton presidency makes me want to gag. Not saying Sanders needs to drop out but at least tone down the harsh rhetoric and insinuations that the primary is rigged and focus on stopping Trump instead of doing the GOPs job for them.

This is correct. It is a direct result of portions of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 being overturned by SCOTUS a couple of years ago. A few red states have since made efforts to try and oppress the vote in heavy Democratic districts.

Yep. The new voter ID laws caused all the problems in my district. And thats not just my own speculation. Thats what the Mayor said at the town hall and is what was witnessed at the polls. These new laws created a mess for the people running the polls and that made a process that should be simple and quick turn into a cluster**** that lasted hours.

I will vote for Clinton if she wins the primary, but I just disagree that she is a lock for the nomination. Let's just see what ends up happening. Either one will be almost laughably better than any of the Republican candidates, lol.

As of 3 weeks ago, Sanders HAD TO, HAD TO win EVERY state by DOUBLE DIGITS, to win. The following Tuesday, he didn't....statistically he has "0" chance of winning now.

Soooooo, who exactly is going to beat her?

That's just not true. As far as the pledged delegates, Hillary has 30%, Bernie as 23%. That means there's 47% remaining pledge delagates remaining, meaning he needs 59.6% of the rest of remaining pledge delegates in order to get to 51%.

An uphill battle? Absolutely. statistcally 0? Not at all. If he wins the pledged delegate count, there's an incredibly small chance the super delegates would use their votes to put Clinton as the nominee.


Anyways, the problem with Clinton for me is that she's such a standard politician, she never would have discussed ANY of the issues Bernie has been bringing up relentlessly, and now she acts as if she's always been a passionate advocate of them. I honestly don't believe she has much interest in even trying to follow through with any of them.

His chances are zero because the democratic leadeeship will not support him. The superdelegates will not support him. I dont understand why this is so hard for some to grasp. In the case of Bernie its not about delegates so much as its about swaying the leadership and superdelegates. He is a socialist independent that is barely scraping by. Why in the hell would the leadership ever support a socialist independent that is only just scraping by? Why the hell would they want to put such an underperformer up against Trump when they have Hillary who is an actual Democrat and performing much better in the polls?

Like it or not they are going to pick Hillary. At this point its just silly and naive to believe otherwise.
