Now somebody in Hollywood will probably make a movie about how the Apocalypse was averted!

Another Kentuckian :woot:

Yeah, my daughter has been asking for hours to go out and play in it....I'm waiting for the temp to go up a little closer to freezing before I go out.

Ok, I have to ask. I'm from Indiana, and grew up hearing a LOT of Kentuckian jokes. Some even came from ppl who moved here from Kentucky (like an old boss of mine who knew a few). Heck, I heard someone telling one during lunch last week. So...do you guys tell jokes about us, and Illinois, or about yourselves, or is it just an Indiana thing.

From my years of experience and from living in several different states....The people of every state tell jokes about their neighboring states.

I've been here for years and you've never noticed I was from KY too. *cries in the corner*

No snow where I am, just windy and cold.

I actually said something about it in a thread once, but you never replied.

I've been to Paducah a bunch. I used to go to the Superman Festival in Metropolis every year, but we would stay in Paducah.

10:37PM GMT here and nothing's happened. All that hype for nothing!

Oh, bad on me then.

Ive been all over the country, but I haven't been far past Louisville when it comes to the state, never ventured much into Eastern KY although my history teachers always made jokes about it when I was in high school. The Superman Festival in Metro is pretty fun sometimes.

The day isn't over yet. I'm still betting my money on Darkseid taking over the Death Star and shooting its laser beams at us :woot:.

but you said the Cheetah-People were coming to eat us!

Something special happened the day
A spa for men in my neighborhood, it was opening day for it

I'm in western Kentucky, Owensboro to be specific. Snowed here a bit but nothing spectacular. Boring

This Mayan prophecy is quite lame. I watched a couple of documentaries about this doomsday and nothing interesting happened!

The Mayans didn't even say the world was going to end yesterday. It's all been a load of bollocks....

This Mayan prophecy is quite lame.

There is no Mayan prophecy. They never predicted a doomsday for yesterday. That's one of the biggest reasons this past week has beem so annoying. Nevermind regular people but newstations starting stories with the like of "the Mayan prophecy for the end of the world blah, blah, blah".:cmad:

In the Google Age this stuff is so easy to double check. Bad journalism.

exactly,if anything,it was a GOOD thing, as Mayans today have said it's believed this next "World Age" will usher in a humanity that's more in tune with nature and old concepts like the current financial system and greed will fade away.

the Mayans, past or present NEVER SAID ANYTHING BAD WOULD HAPPEN!!!
