I like how Jack's motivation in this is owing President Heller and his family, so more personal.
The Lt. that got set up for the drone strike; was i the only one who lol when the captain was reading out loud the emails he supposedly wrote about the Officer who revoked his pass..i think he called him a *****.![]()
Anyhow, Jack breaking Chloe out was badass. I'm wondering; it seems like Jack only found out that Chloe was being held/tortured after looking for Derek Yates. I'm wondering if he had learnt she was being held, despite the plot surrounding Heller, would have have rescued her regardless?
Because it's not real.
Do you guys think season 1 still holds up? I was rewatching it yesterday, and I don't know I still like it, but it does seem a bit dated and slow, and the Kim stuff ergh.
I love 24 but dammit! Kim just kills it for me. Having to watch her stupid, belligerent antics is just too much of a chore.

She was good in Season 7 and 8![]()
While the amnesia was bad, it wasn't any worse than other subplots in the later seasons like Chloe and the baby, Dana Walsh and the rednecks, Miles and the sexual harrasment girl, the undercover autistic kid, the whole Millikin fiasco with Sherry literally talking a man to death and the most memoriable of all - Kim's crazy season 2 adventures with the kidnapped girl, psycho dad, cougar, creepy bomb shelter guy and convenience store robber.
Oh god, S2 Kim was awful. It was like they had no idea what to do with her but wanted to keep her around.
Almost exactly that. It wasn't so much a case of wanted though, as had to. Elisha Cuthbert was contracted to the show for another season so they were legally obligated to include her for X amount of time. Sadly they didn't think, or bother, to include her in any interesting or meaningful way, instead writing her into a bunch of bizarre solo adventures that have long since turned into a running joke.
I can appreciate that including Kim into season two in any sort of important role might have been difficult, but the writers on the show weren't stupid people. They could have (should have) done better.
I think Kim should have flown the plane with the nuke on board. You George Mason fans know what I'm talking about.
No, but really. Yeah, she sucks.
