24: Live Another Day

The action was excellent, but the highlight for me had to be Jack's line: "I hate these people." It was such a stark admission after all these years, a great character moment.

I think it was just dirty sewer water.

Ah ok, was just thinking that didn't look like just a regular bucket of water last week, thought it had a yellowish hue to it and thought she reacted to it like it was more disgusting to just being regular water

I love that Jack untied Belcheck at the beginning. He's loyal like that. :awesome:

Now all Jack has to do is teach Sarah the wonders of saying "Damn It" during intense situations

I think that's one of the only times you've heard him say he hated someone, but it's also probably one of the leading motivations for the lengths he's gone to stop terrorist attacks in previous seasons.

Episode 10 is 8:00PM to 9:00PM. So when's the time jump happening? They will skip half a day and we're nearing the end of this season yet there's no sign of the time jump happening.

Maybe they'll leap forward until morning. I always enjoy the day time stuff a lot more than the night time stuff.

Margot's one woman war on subtlety was taken to new levels this week! :funny: The big central action sequence was really good and I thought the scene with Kate and the little girl was nicely played.

No surprise that Cross is a corrupt liar, I wonder if he really is a middle man or if there is another player yet to be revealed. Navarro doesn't seem to have the stomach for what he's done and he made a bad call hiring a guy who shoots like a Stormtrooper to assassinate Jordan.

Now that we know Mark's actions are treason I have to think there's more to him trying to ship Jack off to Russia than protecting Audrey.

The President at Wembley next week should be cool. :D

…….

No. No, dude. Just no. Where did you even get the notion it was urine?! And how many pee breaks would it take to fill a friggin' bucket?

I think electrocution is torture enough.

Simple rule, you never want the audience imagining that your hot leading Lady action heroine smells of piss.

That and the line before it where Jack said "Sorry, I shouldn't have done that." You'd never hear Jack utter a regret or be as open as that in the past.

Well, he did kind of express regret when he was talking to Renee at the end of season 7. He basically said that he DID realize that a lot of his actions were wrong and, in his own words "that these rules were made up by people a lot smarter than I am and are here for a reason." However, he also says that he could never live with himself if he didn't do EVERYTHING within his power to save people, even if it is wrong. So he knows that he's in the wrong at times, but his conscience won't let him act any other way. It's a fascinating aspect of his character.

Mark needs to suffer the consequences. Hopefully Jack gets a fair chance & he can explain things to the Russians. Then maybe they will agree to leave him alone & go after Taylor. This is supposed to give Jack closure. So him being hunted by the Russians still, on the run, or in a Russian prison would make no sense. Let Jack be a free man & he can do missions again in future seasons

"I hate these people." - Jack Bauer 2014

Heck, yeah, loved that moment. Another was when he shouted "Damn it!", of course :word: and last but not least:

I actually thought "wow" when he said it.

:lmao:

Now he has to do it to save his own butt. The russian guy will blackmail him or threaten him with telling Audrey what he did. She would give him hell for sure. Let's see what Marky does next...

So I just caught up and am enjoying the season thus far, for the most part. It can still get a bit silly at times, but hey, that's always been part of the charm of 24 I guess.

I think the best moment of the season yet was Jack's face from last week's episode when Kate Morgan stuck that needle in her neck. I actually rewound it just to see that face again. :funny:

From TVLine

Question: Hi Aus! Love your work. Been reading for years. I’m also a HUGE 24 fan and I’ve been thinking… we’re seven hours in to this 12-hour season and we haven’t skipped any time. Are there still plans to skip hours or will we get only 12 hours of this “day”? —Christian
Ausiello: It’s interesting that everyone assumed the show would skip an hour here and there vs. staging one big 12-hour jump at some point during the run — and we know what they say about people who assume. Did that answer your question, Christian?
