24 Year Old Man Kills Himself During Watchmen Screening

This reminds me of the story where a guy got a heart attack during a screening of The Passion of the Christ. I lol'd then too

Shot and killed himself? Maybe he didn't like seeing Dr. Manhattan's d**k!:woot:

Wow. Way to ruin the movie for the ten other people in the theatre... just inconsiderate.

lol @ loud silent man's comment

btw if it happens during dragonball, i'd definatley understand their motives :)

No, seriously though...
Those people will never watch Watchmen the same way ever again. If you're gonna kill yourself, do it in the privacy of your own home. Damn...

Considering how morbid this thread has gotten, it probably wont be so bad to ask: I wonder what scene he would have chosen to shoot himself during? It's kind of interesting since I'm sure the person saw it beforehand. It seems like killing yourself is something that has to be thought out, enough to plan and bring a gun into the theatre.

In all seriousness now this would have been a person in a set state of mind. Suicide is neither a trivial matter or something done on a whim. You don't decide to kill yourself because the movie you're watching is not up to your expectations. I don't care how godawful the movie was. He was going to kill himself regardless,.........he just picked a effed up place to do it. That's a disturbed mind. Very sad and unfortunate.

If on the other hand there was that one individual who would commit suicide solely BECAUSE of a movie, and went ahead and did it,,.............then good riddance.

When Rorschach dies maybe?

During the last 10 minutes in New York, which should have been cut in the editing room?

One wonders...

I have no sympathy for this coward. In fact if I had been in that theatre I would have been pissed this little piss ant couldn't have just killed himself at home, & not ruined my movie experience. Because well some of us are going to actually stick it out & live.

Hell, forget Watchmen ... If I had been there during that, I wouldn't be able to go into a movie theater with the same mindset ever again.

Seriously, I feel really bad for the people who were there when it happened ...

The screening was stopped and ticket purchases were refunded.

This isn't relevant to the story nor is it news. Why was it in the story. :whatever:

LOL, that's ridiculous. I've noticed that people who openly condemn an individual's choice to self-terminate are often the most cowardly and suffer from self-esteem problems, which is why they have to pick on the departed, like a typical bully whose dad works late or whatever.

The bottom line most of us who "stick it out and live" do just that, we live to regret it. I think most of us want to kill ourselves, whether we would want to do it during a botched superhero movie is unlikely, but we're the real cowards. Too afraid to do the one thing that could actually end our suffering.

Whoa....dude....that was way too deep for us. Or at least me. It's not everyday that a faceless stranger calls a bunch of online board posters cowards because they don't crave death.

I'll tell you what, when I get to the end of my days, I'll figure out whether it was worth it or not, and I'll give you a call. I will say whether you are right--or whether you are wrong and congratulate or demean you.

One love,

I cut myself so i can feel! Does that count?

:whatever::oldrazz:

why couldn't this person off himself in a dragonball screening, it would've only been him and the projectioner guy

Talk about rude

"Can you quieten down up there please! You know, we're trying to watch a movie here"

have to wonder how it would be if someone in the guys family actually visited these threads.

I'd be pretty ticked at the assclown who bumped the thread that they otherwise would probably never have seen.
