Horror 28 Years Later

I wonder, since this may be the end of the trilogy, that they may make a prequel...

"28 Hours Later" perhaps? :hyper:

I hope the third one takes place in a really post-apocalyptic world. Not have it just England based, but show another location entirely. It'd also be nice to have some of the cast members from both "Days" and "Weeks" coming together in the third film.

I liked the films, can't wait to see what they do with this one.

I don't think they'll have characters from past movies though.

Oh boy, I'm PUMPED about this!! :wow:

Honestly, I love "Days" and "Weeks" equally... I love them both the same. I don't think I can pick one over the other. :word:

Man... this is exciting. What if they brought Cillian Murphy back? I'd flip out.

Weeks pwn3d Days for me. I just like films that kill of cliche for the most part, you know?

Days was pretty typical a lot of the time whereas Weeks existed in much more human, less plot-y universe, in my opinion.

Days was good, but Weeks was an obvious improvement. Due in large part to the absence of Boyle, in my opinion. He seems to throw in every device we have ever seen in a new, different, disguised ways, but it all still emits the same feeling.

I loved the grit and rawness of the first, and was completely expecting to be let down by the sequel. I was pleasantly surprised.

Let's pray that his thoughts of it being set in Russia become it is set in Russia. :woot:

I'm all for Months. I liked Days (the military stuff at the end ruined it) and loved Weeks.

"28 Hours Later" perhaps? :hyper:
Or 28 Hours Earlier :oldrazz:

I absolutely loved the first one. Great music, special effects, characters, zombies, everything! I was dissapointed by the sequel as it relied more on boo scares so hopefully Boyle brings it back to greatness.

Prequel? It could be a pentalogy!

28 Days Later
28 Weeks Later
28 Months Later
28 Years Later
28 Decades Later

Honestly I would probably be more interested in Garland directing. He has a very good style for a horror movie.

They've been trying to revive this every couple of years, I'll believe it once it starts rolling.

If Danny indeed comes back, then I have more confidence in the project. However, I wouldn’t be opposed to Garland directing as it would probably have a unique visual style.
Garland said he's taking a break from directing stuff and he'll be focusing on writing which is what he always preferred. I think it's a good idea to let other people handling his scripts for a while and Boyle certainly has a good history with him.

I wonder if they use Murphy if they're going to de-age him. Otherwise they should skip months and make it 28 Years Later which makes more sense in terms of when the first film was released.

28 Days Later
28 Weeks Later
28 Months Later
28 Years Later
28 Decades Later
Make it a septology with 28 Centuries Later and 28 Millenniums Later. :o

Not surprising. I remember reading that he doesn’t really enjoy directing like a lot of directors do, but I’m glad he’s still writing since I think he’s better at that in general.

I’d prefer if they didn’t include Murphy’s character. 28 Weeks Later featured some good characters so I’d like to see the trend of focusing on a new individual/group with each entry continue.

I'd love a sequel with these two involved but a whole new trilogy is too much.

Been hearing about this for decades, glad that it's finally happening.

The huge increase in budget is going to be interesting.

Oh that’s a nice surprise. I still want to see this
