You'd think more people would complain since TDK films are hailed as the greatest things since sliced bread and they made Batman the greatest superhero who can do anything cause Batman.

Yeah the raimi's series did but the new ones in ticket sales are down by like 50% that is a lot do you really think that is just because they didn't have those other superhero's around them? The raimi's series still had harry potter and lord of the rings to very very popular franchise to go up agest. Spider man is way way more popular then any super hero other then batman so shouldn't it make more then the other CBM that came out this year? It didn't because people thought it sucked. If the movie was getting the same kind of reviews has the other ones they would have killed them all in box office this year. Pluse if you look at just USA then it looks worse.

I really hate the "it's too soon for a reboot" argument. When BvS come out it will have been 4 years since TDKR and there will be a new Batman yet nobody is saying that about Batman.

I think you will hear more of that has BVS man gets closer but I also think because it is a team up movie and not just other batman movie that people don't care has much. Also if asm1 and asm2 had been consider better then what they are consider right now I think you wouldn't have has much of a argument about it being to so.

If you look at the general consensus of these forums, it was proportional to the RT score. Have a look at the fan polls, the most common score was 8/10.

These are initial reactions, and as people bleated about how bad it was that Uncle Ben wasn't given 90 minutes of screentime, and that Electro was as bad as Mr Freeze, people packed up and left, and now we've got this pack majority who assume that Sony are the figurative terrorists of CBM production

Last time I checked the scores SM3 was at 53% and TASM 1&2 at 77% and 69% so they are enjoying it unlike with SM3.

Some what sm3 was a 63 on RT asm1 73 and asm2 53 and form looking on forms compared to sm 1-2 the difference is night and day. Sm3 was consider bad and asm1 slightly good and asm2 bad so if asm3 doesn't do much better you would be talking about 3 out of the last 4 sm movies being consider bad not terable but below average and the other one a little above average that is not a great track record for the 4 movies.

Sony are sad that Spidey isn't numero uno anymore.... so they copy other formulas.

They should have just went ahead with Spider-Man 4... but just change the script slightly to include highschool and Gwen and Andrew and Emma could still be cast.

They should've given us the cut Teekay saw. The one that everyone said was good and the one that was supposed to be the billion dollar, dark knight of spider-man films.
