Before I start, I just wanna go on record as saying that anything I post on this thread is not influenced by any bias I may or may not have toward "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" or Aaron Sorkin, but from watching the pilot to Tina Fey's potentially ill-fated series, "30 Rock", it's crystal clear that Studio 60 is the superior series for many reasons. Don't get me wrong, I've always been a fan of Fey. She's sharp, funny, not to mention tasty to look at, but, "Rock" is totally unbalanced to start and, obviously, needs a lot of work. The facts that "Rock" is only half as long in format as "Studio" and is more of a comedy than Sorkin's newest series are irrelevant. The casting choices are hit and miss. The guy who plays the overzealous page really needs to be placed in a cage and sodomized by a wild caribou. Don't need what's his name at all. Casting Alec Baldwin was genius, naturally. It's just too bad he doesn't get too play it more like his character in Scorcese's new "Departed" film, hardcore profanity and all. Tracy Morgan and Rachel Dratch are hilarious as always, but, I've gotten pretty bored with Jane Krakowski fast. As for Fey, her writing clearly leans toward mean, like "Arrested Delevopment" mean, but clever at the same time. Anyway, my spider sense is telling me that this show will have had the plug pulled long before Studio 60.

-so sayeth the mastermind-

I see posters on subway stops and looks like it says 3rd Rock, like the 3rd rock from the sun show.
