    45. Dear Evan Hansen (New)

Fun Size Review: The story of a 45 year old sociopath, pretending to be in high school. He uses the suicide of a fellow student to gain fame, fortune, and a new girlfriend. Maybe the scariest thing I have seen this month.

    46. Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters
    [IMG]

Fun Size Review: Part Van Helsing, part Princess Bride, this is an incredibly uneven more that fluctuates between fun, blah and huh, more often then you can count.

    47. Ouija (New)

Fun Size Review: The gif? the only good thing about this movie. Do not watch this movie, unless like me, you absolutely adore Olivia Cooke. She's all there is.

I might have watched the movie during my last years Marathon, but i cant be sure nor is it a big deal if i did.
I have to go back to the original because i thought i liked it way more than i do this.
It tries way too hard doing the 3d gimmick instead of focusing on delivering a fantastic movie.
Not the worst movie but it lets a lot of potential on the road.

    48. Final Destination
    [IMG]

Fun Size Review: An honest to god attempt, to make a proper horror flick, and I dig it. One of the things I always appreciated about this series, is it got the joke from the start. Meaning even in the first movie, the kills are genuinely fun.

    49. Final Destination 2
    [IMG]

Fun Size Review: Took everything fun about the first, and ramped it up to 11. This is just a bloody good time, with an all time classic opening sequence.

    50. Final Destination 3
    [IMG]

Fun Size Review: MEW and the almost parody nature of the kills make this one. Also, this series is very good at making you want to watch a lot of these people die.

    51. The Final Destination (New)

Fun Size Review: A couple of good kills, can't make up for how annoying the 3D gimmick is here. That and the absolutely forgettable lead. At least Patty is in this.

    52. Final Destination 5 (New)

Fun Size Review: This feels almost like a remake of the first, but that's not an issue. Instead of high body count, this one goes for substance, and I honestly feel like it works. Classic quality over quantity, with some of the best kills, new lore and a legit surprise ending. Well, two.

What was the big deal back then about this? That it was a stephen king netflix exclusive or so?
I remember that it was rather big when it was announced.
I dont know the book so i cant say how faithful to it the movie is, but i like the movie.
Nothing too spectacular or so, but i enjoy it.

    53. Idle Hands
    [IMG]

Fun Size Review: The cult stoner classic, that launched many a crush for us who watched it on cable. Like an extended episode of an anthology segment, Idle Hands isn't great. Many moments are down right bad. But that doesn't take away from it's charm for us of a certain age.

How they convinced to have Amazon put this into their library, is beyond me.
Dont get me wrong, they really tried their best and the most of it...but while the Horseman looks neat, the most budget seemed to have gone into that.
Because the effects and Actors are horrible.
I mean they really try to make the most of that, try to do the best movie they could possibly do with what they had...but this is never reaching even B-Movie levels.

I get that the kills are SUPPOSED to be comically ridiculous, but that always kept me from being able to get into them. The concept just doesn't work for me without the "this could actually happen" nature of the accidents. Like, the opening from FD2 still has me changing lanes every time I pull up behind a log truck. But when you start throwing in stuff like the chain-link fence or the razor-sharp swords in the weight room.... It just takes me out of it.

Thought I'd rewatch this in light of Malignant. Still lot of fun and it's still super underrated in James Wans's filmography.

I need to get my hands on the unrated version, because you can tell there's a much better movie out there without all the cuts. But it's still a great time. The sinister build-up, the believable working class characters and the unbeatably creepy killer design work so well, even in the hands of a generic production team clearly working on a shoestring budget. Plus, it features what might be my new favorite Horror Best Friend: Hollis - my dear, beloved, innocent Canadian teddy bear. Rest well, sweet mustachioed prince. 3/5

    20. My Bloody Valentine '09 (HBO)
I've never seen a remake so completely miss the point of the original as with this hot mess here. What 'My Bloody Valentine' needed was a bigger budget and a more experienced director & camera crew. Instead, the brains behind this remake ditched the atmospheric dread and sincere blue collar characters of the original for mass carnage and CGI 3-D shenanigans. I guess, to give them SOME credit, Sarah is actually a character here. And no amount of incompetence can diminish how creepy The Miner still is. But for its most part, its a dull, under-achieving rehash of a movie that deserved a quality remake.

And the worst part of the whole bloody mess? No Hollis. 1/5

    21. Howl (Prime - imdBtv)
Had to watch a werewolf movie on the full moon. And I could certainly have done worse. This is a movie that's more than content to just let the genre wheels keep on spinning just the way they always have. And that's fine. It follows the traditional standards very well, using a strong cast and crew to make the best out of a pretty typical monster thriller. The ending was weak, but all in all I definitely enjoyed it in spite of the terribly timed imdBtv ads. 3/5

    22. The Babysitter (Netflix)

Ugh. My friends made me watch it again and it isn't any better this time around. It is hilarious in all the wrong ways, but McG's obnoxious style makes it hard to even enjoy ironically, because I don't want to give him the satisfaction. That said, I can't completely trash it, because it did gift us Samara Weaving and Robbie Amell running around being hot psychos for 125 minutes. 2/5

    54. The Frighteners
    [IMG]

Fun Size Review: Peter Jackson's classic, is a midwest adult Casper story, clearly shot in New Zealand. This movie is fun and quirky in it's own unique way, and is all the better for it. Also doesn't hurt having Michael J. Fox running around, looking like an adult Marty. Oh, and may his flashback wig, never die!

    21.Nosferatu

Boy, i notice that im getting exhausted on Horror a bit.
Started 5 movies before turning them off and going onto youtube to watch Nosferatu in the end.
I need to take a break from Horror movies before my marathon because otherwise im getting tired of Horror.
Need to tone down my horror movie consume when October comes around. XD

Anyway, crazy how effective the movie still is, almost 100 years after its release.
The visuals, playing with shadows and all...max schreck who owns the screen whenever he appears.
Since its public domain, its easy to give it a shot...its one of the classics i think everyone should see at least once.

I totally get this. I think most of the movies do a good job of trying to do a combination of "realistic" and the more overtly over the top. But if you aren't into them, these probably going to be a rather boring time.

This is absolutely amazing. Thank you for this.

    55. Fright Night (New)

Fun Size Review: This was quite lot of fun. A completely 80s movie, with a 00s aesthetic. Tennant and Farrell chew up the scenery with delicious delight, while Yelchin is our perfect hero. I still can't believe he's gone.

    56. Bad Seed (New)

Fun Size Review: Did you know that Rob Lowe directed horror flick for Lifetime? Well, he did. With all the energy you expect from a film student making their first film, Rob Lowe tries to turn pouring a glass of milk, into high art. What makes this though is Grace's performance, and all her odd scenes with Lowe, who also plays her father. The ending almost makes it worth the watch.

    Night 7

    Classic Universal night

    20. The Mummy

Not gonna lie, the lack of the actual Mummy is a bit disappointing. Feels like an attempt to replicate Dracula. Deservedly a classic, but something about it didn't click with me.

    21. Creature from the Black Lagoon.

I really enjoyed all the underwater camerawork. Given when this was filmed, I was very impressed. The Creature is also a great costume, with some amazing practical work for the swimmer.

    22. Bride of Frankenstein

A weird movie. A bit of an identity crisis with Pretorious and the monster. Karloff's performance is brilliant, and the disparate parts came together in the end. Great classic.

Australian slasher that has a cool idea and Killer design, but fails to keep the momentum.
It has a cool concept, Girls are abducted and put into the Outback to be hunted by a few Masked killers for the amusement of the internet.

But the movie does too little with any of that.
It becomes a very boring movie that also tends to use the "coincidence" trope during several situations very bad.

Without the part where they are pretty much hunted for the internet and with a darker setting...like in some shady woods...this could have been super neat.
Its not a bad movie at all, it shows the potential Australia has in the genre...but it loses its pacing and momentum early on.

Doesnt help that here in Germany the Netflix version is censored.
The very good kills are mostly cut, despite being Mature rated.

Mckenna Grace has the best agent in the world. It's insane how she's apart of so many high profile projects.
