no one official has said that Cambell is the 4th villian...it's all speculation...you are giving these rumors way too much credit.

As I said... they want to keep it secret... I doubt we'll get much at Comic Con anyways... maybe Cambell/Beck but that's about it.

I would love to see this as an opening scene:

In a bank. Lots of smoke is coming out through the door. People starts screaming and then Mysterio enters the building and say something like : "Be calm everybody, you are being robbed by MYSTERIO!"
Then you see a red fist and Mysterio gets a punch in the face and faints.
Spider-man:"Tss, pathetic"

Next scene....

Beck was a failed actor/stuntman, right? In the first movie he was working as an announcer, but this punk kid comes in, steals the name HE gave him, and then fails to stop a robbery which bankrupts the wrestling promoter, causing the announcer to lose his job. Then, in the second movie, he's found a job as an usher for a broadway theater, but this punk kid comes in and tries to enter after the show starts. The usher says he would "destroy the illusion" of the play. This is obviously Quentin's desire to stage true to life illusions. Later on Spider-Man is unmasked in front of a couple hundred subway passengers. Someone on that damn car had to have a cameraphone. A pic gets in the papers, the usher sees who it is, realizes it's the same kid who tried to ruin the illusion AND stole the Spider-Man names AND lost him his job and there you have it: the man villain for Spider-Man 3 is Mysterio. But then again I forgot to wear my tinfoil hat today, so the aliens might be making me say this.

Well that's pretty far fetched imo, but interesting neither the less.

^If Raimi does want S-M3 to be his last movie,then adding the Lizard makes sense since he wanted to have the Lizard in part 2.It doesn't need to take the whole movie to tell his story.

A guy who is missing a limb injects himself with the DNA of a lizard because lizards regrow limbs,but instead of just regrowing his limb,he becomes the Lizard.(That wouldn't even take 5 minutes to explain it to moviegoers)

Dr.Connors studies a piece of the symbiote that spidey gives him and Dr.Connors finds out that it can regenerate cells,so he mixes it with lizard DNA and creates the monster the Lizard.

The Lizard could fight spidey in a little action scene in Dr.Connors lab when spidey comes back to meet Dr.Connors for the symbiote results.In the spidey movies the Lizard couldn't be a main villain anyway since he wouldn't be able to talk.

yes, we know how the lizard's story could be told, but how does that have anything to do with the STORY? aside from the fact that it includes the symbiote and a minor supporting character?

it doesn't. having a scene where spidey fights the lizard would be SO random in this movie. maybe a movie where that was a very big plot thread/conflict, but in SM3, it's not. the idea isn't to throw in as many villians as possible to fight spidey. the movie is called SPIDER-MAN, and all of the characters serve a purpose in telling his story. except in SM3, the lizard does not.

ya know this is such crap. why r they cramming all these villians in, there is no way that each can get a good backstory and be a complete character. each of these villians could be a stand alone movie (especially venom) and adding mysterio is just...AH, why not electro or the lizard, especially the lizard which has already been set up inrtoducing doctor connars. i will still see it but i doubt it will up to standards that spider-man has already set. this jsut seems like him wanting to cram these villians in before he leaves the franchise, which i hope they continue with them after he is gone.

I know this might sound silly, but does anyone else think that the fourth villain could be in the head of Osbourne jnr in the form of his father? He was going a bit la la towards the end of the 2nd film and good old Norman did indeed make an appearance persuading him to go and get one Peter Parker. Perhaps He will keep on appearing giving Harry some tips in the art of evil deeds thus giving us the elusive fourth villain everyone is wondering about. I think this would be a better idea than having a rubbish little cameo by mysterio or another villain as they wouldnt be able to develop it enough in the film.

I figure it may be Cambell's Mysterio(not as a cameo) who create the illusion to Harry of a bomb exploding in his face, or the images of him seeing his father Norman, driving him insane, and manipulating Harry into using his resourses to help him(Beck) get back at Spiderman for whatever reason, to be revealed in this movie. Even a illusion of the original Green Goblin to Peter, making him confuse as to whether Norman is alive or who is this Goblin, given Harry standing next to him. Mysterio may even be responsible for Peter seeing Flint and the burgular killing Uncle Ben. All kind of illusions throwing Peter, Harry, everybody, even us the audience off. Pretty much like how that person said of the Chameleon a few weeks ago, but with Mysterio.

^10 minutes of Venom fighting is alot more than what Doc Ock and GG got,so why should he get even more time as a main villain in S-M4?Moviegoers are gonna see spidey fight a villain that has his same powers in S-M3,there not gonna want to see it in S-M4,if there was a fourth movie.

Venom wouldn't be able to top himself after part 3.The symbiote/Venom story will be finished when the credits of S-M3 go by...
