i bet he is. 4 villains? not even close. let's do the math.

sandman in the entire movie = 1 villain

venom in the last ten minutes = 1/2 villain

harry osborn getting into his dad's toys and putting on some swimming goggles and then getting himself killed = 1/3 villain

dark/evil spidey = 0 villain

1 + 1/2 + 1/3 + 0 = 1 5/6 or 1.833 villains

there it is for sony and marvel since they can't do their own math. 1.833 villains. that's weak in light of all their hype. but i give them this: it is better than just one villain.

Don't forget Mysterio as -1...and I think mean friend with dangerous weapons deserves a 1/10 bad-guy ranking.

Personally, I think the villain will be Hydro-man for various reasons in my head and in the trailer. But I also have a very big feeling it's Mysterio due to something I won't share because everyone will call me crazy and try to get me off the boards. But yeah, then again, it could be nobody, but thats my opinion.

Edit: Chameleon is also a big possiblity as we could have already seen him in the trailer disguised as somebody else.

I think we can see the Doc. Connors working on the formula to recreate his arm, may be Peter wants his help to save himself from symbiote. Raimi may keep this for the 4th movie also...

i don't think he's working on his lizard formula in that pic. it looks like a classroom. and gwen is looking back at peter. i'm sure this movie will play out like the animated series(in regards to the finding out that the symbiote is alive), which is cool in my opinion. i'm glad they can't use the fan4. the "amazing bag man " costume would make this the next batman and robin.

I really would like a cameo of Mysterio with Bruce Cambell, but if Connors is working on regrowing his arm in the movie, or turns into the Lizard, I'll be happy too. Why wasn't the 4th villian released at comic-con? I'm starting to doubt if there even is one.

not sure about the comics but in the animated series baron mordo gave him that name when he brought the symbiote to his prison cell. i doubt thats how it happened in the comics though. there's always wikipedia if you're really interested.

i heard that on this board as well, but the quote in the ap story sounded like raimi was the one bringing up the issue of bruce campbell's role. why would he bring it up if it was such an insignificant, inconsequential role? the fact that raimi broaches the issue lends credence to the mysterio rumor.
