Why do people keep asking for Carnage? He's just a skinny, red Venom.
"Ooh. But he's a murderer psycho!" Yeah, so is Venom. Carnage just has better dialogue than Venom.
I'd much rather see Rhino, Vulture, Electro, Scorpion, Morbius, Shocker, Trapster, or Cloak and Dagger (they were antiheroes & vigilantes when they first showed up in Spider-Man comics), among others.
Hell, even third-string losers like Kangaroo, Hydro-Man, Schizoid Man, Ringer, Rose, Spot, or Leapfrog would be better than Carnage.
Really, children... You're getting your "evil slimy Spidey" character in Venom. You don't need another. Let the rest of us see our favorites, too.
I mean, a lot of us have been buying Spidey comics since the 60s and 70s, and it's pretty insulting when a bunch of kids who haven't been reading the books for more than a few years are the crowd that the studio panders to. Spidey's history is too long to omit his long-standing rogues' gallery in favor of all the villains from that lousy 1990s period when Marvel made everything "badass" and "dark" in a vain attempt to draw in young readers.
Even Marvel knows the 90s held many of their worst mistakes. Why keep making those same mistakes into the 21st century when they can get back to basics and please ALL the audience instead of just the younger crowd?
