BUT HOW? IT DOSNT REALLY MAKES SENSE WHAT WITH THE CHASE SCENE FROM PART 1. I GOTTA SEE THE MOVIE TO SEE HOW IT HAPPENED AND HOW THEY EXPLAIN IT

The movie never shows the thief killing Uncle Ben

Didn't they Hype have a post on the frontpage that stated there would be more movies? I seem to recall it doing so, but not stating whether or not Raimi would stay on.

Raimi said that if he had the same passion/feelings after 3, he would do another one, possibly more.

Tobey seems like he is tired, physically and mentally. He may be done, but never say never.

Amy Pascal wants 6 movies, no matter what.

Tell me why it couldn't be Carnage. The fourth villain is just going to be a cliffhanger for a 4th spidey film.... they wont introduce another main villain lol. You guys take this way to seriously.... For all we know the fourth villain could be electro... I just think its going to be Kasady and Brock in a prison cell at the very end, after the credits.... Or Dr. Conners taking some sort of experiment during a quick final scene and then a flash of a dark lizard like beast for a second to scare the audience and then the credits will roll.

I think the only way there should be a cliffhanger for 4 would be Brock in jail and the symbiote making it's way to his cell. Or Connors becoming the Lizard.

It will be hard to make Carnage the TRUE Carnage on the big screen and make it PG-13, considering he is a murderous rampage.

Venom or the Lizard should be the ONLY cliffhanger possibilities for 4.

that would be bad if it ended with venom and carnage in a cell

Venom needs a PG-13 rating to be done right.

Carnage would need a hard R.

Anything less and you'll get the watered down treatments...or only see them for 12 minutes of movie time. Hmm.

just found this as the 2nd most recent (aug. 11) entry on the sony spiderman 3 official blog. don't know if it has any merit but thought i'd toss it out for discussion:

"hey guys!! im eddie brock and im the actor who plays venom in the upcoming imfamos movie spiderman 3, now i know that everyone wonders who the fourth villain will be. Well im not supposed to tell all you spidey fans but i will give you all a clue, there are four villains that we have not seen in the movies yet, mysterio, rhino, carnage and scorpio. It is out of one of them four, who do you think it is????? keep posting and eventually the mystery will be revealed. Like i said there is only one question, whos it going to be you will soon find out but untill then later!!"

p.s. one thing that might give the above comment some merit is that sony holds submitted comments for approval before they post them on the site. maybe they approved it because it doesn't reveal anything, who knows, but if it was totally false they probably would not posted it at all.

Scorpio - a Spidey nemesis of astronomic proportion!!!

When teamed with the other members of his Zodiac gang - Libra, Gemini, and Sagittarius - they form a frightening four of villainy!

Miss Cleo agrees: "I tell ya, darlin' - Petey don' wan nuttin to do with da Scorpio! Ha ha ha ha ha!"

Er right....Anyway like I was saying before that never happened in the cartoon or the comics. So in other words, you dont know what your talking about.

or it could be the detective from general hospital.

really, his whole post is littered with grammatical errors so i don't think you can read anything into his leaving an n off the end of scorpion.

I think villain 4 is in a dream sequence with Harry - and it's the original Gobby.

it would be cool though if it were rhino, electro, or scorpio. those guys would be fun to see on the big screen in their full regalia.

i just made another discovery as well: sony has taken the villain gallery down from the spiderman movie web site.

they used to have a gallery with sketches on each of the potential villains for spiderman 3, encouraging everyone to guess the villains, about ten or so in all. now that is gone.

from sony's perspective, i would assume that means there are no more villains to guess and that there is no fourth villain. otherwise, rather take the gallery down, wouldn't they have said "guess the last villain, there is one more"?

i think we are set with 3 villains.

Amazing. Simply amazing. I'm still hoping it's Bruce as Mysterio.

Now think about this, what if they did the infamous Daredevil, Spiderman team-up? They could then have King pin and Rhino in the same movie. That's what I think they should do.

It has to be Lizard considering he's been mentioned in the previous two movies.

no one wants to see those!!!!!!!!!! they would be horrible on the big screen:mad:

Why do people keep asking for Carnage? He's just a skinny, red Venom.

"Ooh. But he's a murderer psycho!" Yeah, so is Venom. Carnage just has better dialogue than Venom.

I'd much rather see Rhino, Vulture, Electro, Scorpion, Morbius, Shocker, Trapster, or Cloak and Dagger (they were antiheroes & vigilantes when they first showed up in Spider-Man comics), among others.

Hell, even third-string losers like Kangaroo, Hydro-Man, Schizoid Man, Ringer, Rose, Spot, or Leapfrog would be better than Carnage.

Really, children... You're getting your "evil slimy Spidey" character in Venom. You don't need another. Let the rest of us see our favorites, too.

I mean, a lot of us have been buying Spidey comics since the 60s and 70s, and it's pretty insulting when a bunch of kids who haven't been reading the books for more than a few years are the crowd that the studio panders to. Spidey's history is too long to omit his long-standing rogues' gallery in favor of all the villains from that lousy 1990s period when Marvel made everything "badass" and "dark" in a vain attempt to draw in young readers.

Even Marvel knows the 90s held many of their worst mistakes. Why keep making those same mistakes into the 21st century when they can get back to basics and please ALL the audience instead of just the younger crowd?

I agree...there are other villains that deserve the spotlight before the re-hashed red Venom that is Carnage. I believe that Raimi is doing this with Sandman. A great choice IMO and one that nobody saw coming.
