This is the last season right? Isn't it possible that they are saving him for the last episode/last story arc to end the show with? Maybe it's batman that convinces CK to become Superman

This isn't for sure the last season... could go one more, but I still don't think that batman will make a visit to smallville.

They don't even make that decision officially until April usually. I know I haven't heard its officially been given another full season order.

that episode sucked so hard I thought it was a dollar hoe.
terrible terrible terrible what is happening to smallville.
well at least I have heroes to tide me over till 'justice' sigh...

the only scene in the entire episode I thought had any value or was of any interest was the very last scene with clark tossing the baseball, every one is being paired off and the one guy who is putting his life on the line and making big scarifices is alone.

This episode was really bad. I really didn't enjoy it in the slightest.

I'm in the middle of the epi right now (youtube) and some quick notes:

-Lana's still a b****
-Lois is hot
-Clark & Lex's convo in the greenhouse = example of future Superman & Luthor confrontation.
-On the whole though...this episode feels kinda weak.

I'll check back when its done. :yay:

I agree, but I thought it was kind of weird that Lex was just sort of standing in the greenhouse.

the lex and clark convo was badass

I can't understand how this epsiode got any negative feedback, I loved this one.

It felt like a good Season 1 epsiode for like 3/4's of it with Season 6 plot threads thrown in throughout. The villian wasn't very memorable, just like most of the first Season 1 but she was enjoyable to watch. She wasn't meant to be great, she was just there to break up the emotion just like most Season 1 villians. Clark on his own was a theme of the first season, sitting in his "Fortress of Solitude" while Lana was off with another guy.

This show's Season 6 moments were great in this show, the Lex/Clark moment was interesting, I had thought that at some point in this season Lex would trick Clark into trusting him again only to do something that would end their friendship forever, but this exchange seemed to do that. I'm really like, what's his name Green Arrow? He's a charming, capable guy and his relationship with Lois is clearly a prelude to her and Superman. Loved the song at the end, was that by the All American Rejects? Anyone notice that their singer looks like Welling.

The only negative was that Lionel wasn't in it, or least I can't remember him.

Now I have a question does anyone know of any symbolism in having Lex wear a red cape? I know that the theme of the coustumes was that Lana had "choosen" to become his queen and "rule" at his side, but they could of done it without a red cape.

Edit* I know that I have been very vocal on my disproval of Lana and Lex being the reason that Clark and Lex are no longer friends. This show pretty much throws that out the window, Clark has seen the darkness in Lex grow and he got out while he could. I also came to the realisation that the Lex/Lana relationship isn't about Lex or Lana, its about Clark, he does what's right all the time and his opposite who does everything for himselve gets what Clark deserves. Geez I haven't seen this much symbolism since Lex's "good" side was so easily defeated by his evil side in Onyx and then his "good" side tried to kill evil Lex.

This is the kind of episode that frustrates me every season. My wife's friend came over to study and I turned the episode off till she left because I felt so dumb to be watching such a piece of crap... Of course after she left I finished it cause I hoped for redeeming value. Not much to redeem this pos.

Best part of this episode was Oliver Queen in his classic Green Arrow outfit. Yeah that's what his "Robin Hood" suit was Green Arrow.

you obviously dislike the show, and all you ever do is bash it?

that being the case, why do you still watch it?

One more thing I didn't like about this episode that I forgot to mention earlier. Why must Chloe move in with Lois at the Talon? I mean, seriously. I don't mind Lois and Chloe living together; they are couisns after all. If anything, they should have had Lois move to Metropolis to find a place with Chloe since she's job-hunting at the Inquisitor.

I understand it's "summer vacation" and that MetU is closed due to the events of Dark Thursday, but I get the feeling Chloe is going to continue working at the DP, right? So she's going to commute six hours everyday? And I doubt Lois needs to continue running the Talon. If she's going to continue being Martha's CoS, she can do her work from Metropolis (since I doubt they'll ever show Martha going to Topeka. Ever.). It's not like it's too difficult to redress the Talon apartment into one that's located in Metropolis.

i dont think the exact distance between metroppolis and smallville has ever been established

It was a okay show. This season has been meh so far. I really hope it picks up soon.

^^Why wont the Chlois theory die?!?!?!

I know it leaves me kind of thinking what the heck. I mean it would have been an interesting twist before Lois Lane actually showed up in Smallville but now it just confuzzles me as to why anyone would want Chloe to be anything more than Chloe. She's adorable and great for who she is.

And even though Chloe loves her journalism, works hard at it, has always aspired to be a top reporter, her personality doesnt come close to the personality of THE Lois Lane.

Word .

I give the episode a 7/10. I really like the multiple meanings for the episode's name. Obviously one of them were due to the plant chick. Also the Clark and Lex relationship offically "withers" in this episode, along with any last hope of Lana and Clark getting together romantically.
