I love Gaga, but she’s never topping her Oscars performance when she did “The Sound of Music”.

I was hoping that Bassett would take it and IMO I thought she deserved it more but I'm still happy for Jamie Lee Curtis.

Hate to say I told you so but... :o

Once Bassett lost out on SAG I knew she was done. Golden Globes are meaningless.

Congrats to Jamie! :wowe:

It'll be EEAAO for best picture. All Quiet already won for Best Foreign Film. They're not going to give All Quiet two Best Picture awards.

While I'm inclined to agree with you, Parasite did manage that feat a few years ago. Parasite was amazing yes, but not unprecedented anymore.

“I’d like to thank our families—”

“NOT ****ING NOW, we need to cut to this Jimmy Kimmel bit!”

Him awkwardly rolling up to Nicole Kidman then having to haul ass backward to find Jessica Chastain who was just not ****ing having any of it was the only funny part of that festival of shame.

I wonder how the people in the audience who aren’t familiar with his show reacted to that Matt Damon ****-talking.

I’m glad they’re recognizing James Hong. That man has been acting his ass off forever. Always thought he should’ve been the one with the Supporting Actor nom and Quan should’ve been Lead Actor nom.

You were spared a shellacking of a gloat post from me if Bassett would have won. :o

The Daniels winning over McDonagh physically pains me.

Feels odd to me to classify sequels as adaptations. I guess it makes sense for Maverick considering the gap between first and second films and the completely different group of writers on each film, but… Glass Onion?

That puzzled me, too. Is using characters from previous movies really an adaptation? I thought it had to actually be an adaptation from previously published material. Maybe they wouldn't have had enough nominees otherwise?

Easiest prediction ever. :funny:

Bassett was an extreme longshot. Golden Globes are meaningless. It all comes down to SAG. Everyone knows this.

You should have listened. :o

Yup, like when Emily Blunt won the SAG Award for Supporting Actress for A Quiet Place and then she totally went on to win the Oscar for it. The SAGs are always right.
