Do you all think that if this movie does really well in the box office, is it going to push Michael Bay to do more movies based on cartoon series from back in the day? Do you all think that he would be able to pull of G.I. Joe? What other 80's cartoons would u like to see on the big screen, here are mine

1. Bravestarr (dont ask why)
2. Silverhawks
3. Centurions

It may start a trend of more movies based on cartoon's in general. Not necessarily from Bay.

Thundercats, Voltron and GI Joe are already in negotiation.

I really hope they look to the comic book for G.I. Joe... And they don't dumb it down. If they don't make Larry Hama the top creative consultant, it will be VERY very sad.

I can't wait till the Hype opens up a Joe thread. :cwink:

As for the others... as much as I love them (and I love them!), I really don't see them being more than The Thunderbirds type movies- but I could be wrong.

I see GI Joe as being VERY difficult to adapt as a serious movie. There's even more corniness in GI Joe than Transformers. There's too much general audience knowledge on how the military works nowadays for GI Joe to be taken very seriously IMO.

Now Thundercats and Voltron? Easy...they aren't based off of any real life organization whereas GI Joe is an extension of the US Military.

Not if they look to the comic book as the source. So, I totally disagree on one hand... but, yeah, it takes a special kind of writers.

I would love to see a live-action movie about those robots in disguise.

Oh, wait. They just made that movie. It comes out in 2 weeks!

:)

I think G.I. may be kinda of difficult, especially with all the stuff going on with the military nowadays. And plus, you know fans are gonna wanna see Cobra Commander, Destro, Snakeyes and the rest of the gang, who knows, Sgt. Slaughter may have a cameo lol

GI Joe has got a lotta characters in it so i guess that would not be a good idea.Maybe they can make a MASK movie. When i mention MASK i don't mean the green assed guy who makes jokes,i'm talking about the other MASK.

1.Jayce and the wheeled warriors (sawboss rocks :woot:even though his name sounds like a power tool)
2.visionaries
3.thundercats

g.i.joe would be nice too but i never read the comics only watched the cartoon and love that, whats the sailor boy called whose kinda like jack nicholson with a parrot? hes my favourite joe him and beachhead just cause its an amusing yet military themed name lol, cobra-lalalalalalalalala
