Well now that it looks like Welling won't be Supes in JL. (Although, Emi's might be backtracking). Now whether the producers prevented him from doing the role, Tom not wanting it or he was never asked. I feel you owe it to the fans who have made the show a hit for 7 years to get the character and move forward. He needs to get off the farm. He needs to be in Metropolis, he needs to be working at being a journalist, he needs to move away from Lana. He needs to be Superman. And I am not even talking about him wearing the suit. In the comics Clark spent a few years traveling the world being Supes, without the suit. While budgets may not allow it. He needs to do that. What that crazed fan in Action and even Lana said. He needs to move on. It demeans the character and the show that he still lingers in Smallville.

Great Idea...

As for budgets, it is possible to shoot around the world in one location. Lost has substituted Hawaii for Australia and Other shows do it all the time, simple tricks, a bit of background cgi and your in another country

YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally someone else feels my pain! In my thread "I'm sorry, Lana should have died", this is the point I was trying to make, but everyone just kept focusing in on me crying that Lana should have ,well, died. What I was trying to get through to them, Clark needs to advance from the stagnant state he is in in Smallville. It's time for him to spread his "wings" and realize that he is destined for greater things outside Smallville.
