I ask you all, because it's been really bugging me. I have this Mike Tyson DVD, and there's this part where he's praying backstage with another Muslim, and after they're done the Muslim says something I can't understand. Then, Tyson and some of his entourage scream something back that sounds like "Allah!" and maybe "Abdalah!" Then, the Muslim says his line again, and Tyson and company repeat their part. It turns into a chant and goes on and on.

Does anyone know exactly what they're saying? Or what the chant is for? It appears later in the DVD, and I can't understand what they're saying for the life of me. Any help, and I will love you forever.

maybe you should try looking it up on IMDB.com

Okay. Turn on your closed captioning, write down what they're saying. Then find an online Arabic-English translator box ad then you'll know.

Does it have closed captioning/ subtitles?

Find me the quote and I'll translate it for you.

Before hand I can tell with almost 90% certainty that they were praising god.

Yeah, I don't know the arabic but it'd be a safe bet it's "praise be allah" or something like that

Without actually listening to it, my guess would be "Allahu Akbar."

That's it! That's what Tyson shouts. But what's the first part of the chant that the other guy says?

And the DVD doesn't have subtitles. It's cheap ass five dollar one, but I'll tell you: It's the best damn cheap-ass $5 documentary in the world.

Allahu Akbar (called the Takbir in Arabic) is a shortened form of the Arabic phrase Allahu Akbar min kulli shay', which means "God is greater than everything."

Does your regular TV closed captioning work on the disk?
