I can't believe they didn't notice that lol. Silly rabbit.

Also really didn't see the whole Mulan thing coming.

People were saying how the moment last season when, I am blanking now if it was Aurora putting Mulan's heart in her or the reverse, that it was all fraught with metaphor. The dialogue was also kind of charged. "I've never done this before" ect. I was resistant at first myself, but I have come around. Though I do wish that we could have seen more hints that Mulan was falling for, to my mind, the totally hetero Aurora. That's just me.

I really need the actor playing Henry to try to emote some different emotions though. His face has been the same for 3 years now whether he happy/mad/sad/angry.

I defend Jared a lot, but I do think he is perhaps the one misstep in casting on the show. He's not terrible, but compared to everybody around him and the other spot on child actors the show has had... Yeah, he can sometimes deliver lines in a way that kind of makes it fall flat.

General query to all OUAT fans: Are there some BIG questions that the show has not answered yet that you feel are now so on the back burner that you fear you'll never get an answer to them? Or at least a satisfying answer? For me it's Henry's book and how the FTL ect. characters got to be known in our world. I thought Tamara and her beau would be a key to finding that out, but they nipped that in the bud fast in the premiere. I like what we are seeing so far this season and tonite's ep was the best of the new season by far, but I still fear the creators are leaving a lot of things up in the air. I want answers and closure. No LOST style "It's about the journey" excuses.

I think because they treat these as alternate realities. Though I would like a better explanation with it like the Grimm brothers and other people from "our" world ending up in ftl and all these other places. Though I would've combined Alices world with ours and made FTL a very big place where you travel far enough and you end up in Wonderland, etc..like how Fables seemed to do it.

Both approaches have their pros and cons. FTL as it stands now is a weird mix of standard European fairy tales (natch) plus Greek Myths (Midas' Kingdom), the Arthurian legends (Lancelot, the grail), folk lore (Robin Hood) the pre Islamic tales of the Mid East (Jinns) and just a lot of general pop culture old timey magical stuff (werewolves, Ogres, wizards). Then they decided that any of the other elements they wanted in the series should come from separate discrete worlds of their own. So we get Wonderland, and B/W Horror world.

Still, the question of why these stories are know at all in our world sticks out like a sore thumb to me. As well as learning who created Henry's book and why they put it in his path in the first place.

I thought Neal created the book. Though I would go for the book being magically created by the curse as a way to allow Emma to break it since everything has a weak point.

Why do you say Neal created it? Granted we did not really get a good look at what he did for a living in NYC, did we? But then the question would be, how did the book get to Storybrooke?

I too think the creators will simply say that the curse itself, or Rumple, created the book, because that is what got the ball rolling to get Emma into town. I just think that's too easy. For my tastes anyway.

Oops I didn't mean Neal, I meant August.

Hmm... Still doesn't track for me. Not that you couldn't end up being right, but I thought that August had come to town only when he showed up on the show. They showed him repairing the book, and even adding pages, if I remember. But that does not mean he wrote it. They do say we will learn how Henry got to Storybrooke this season. Maybe August, or whomever, smuggled Henry and the book in at the same time? Gaah!! I hate having to end almost every sentence with a question mark when discussing this show!! :cmad: :word:

The most important thing is those questions being answered by the end of the series, so as long as they address sometime down the line I will be happy.

If Tinkerbell was stripped of her wings that long ago, how did she end up in Neverland and what happened to her being besties with Pan? Surely they wouldn't erase that history.

Though if Blue is miss fairy superior, you would think she would be a bigger threat against the forces of evil.

I imagine Tink has quite a bit of pre-Regina history. Regina just ended up being her downfall.

Aurora/Mulan, though. I even remarked about the heat last season, but I didn't think they'd be so forthcoming. Well done.

From your lips to Zod's ears in the Phantom Zone, friend. :woot:

Yeah, the Blue Fairy's "This was your second chance" line is just open ended enough to mean a lot of things. Could mean that Tink was already on probation or something because of going to NL and paling around with Pan.

I must say I really liked the use of the whole "I don't believe in you anymore" line tonite. Great shout out to us old fogies that remember Sandy Duncan. :yay:

So the Mulan bit was interesting yet slightly expected. I guess she swings both ways since one season she loved Phillip the next she loves Aurora. Poor girl I wonder what happened to Shang, we need a backstory.

The Regina bit was expected too and I hope that she and Robin Hood actually get together by the end of this season.

Edit: The Blue Fairy is a ***** first she interferes with Grumpy and Nova then she takes Tinks wings for trying to help out someone in need.

Had I never heard some of the speculation of a Mulan/Aurora romance last season, I would have had a huge WTF moment tonight. I just never saw it. No Rumple tonight was a bit disappointing, hoping to see his showdown with Pan soon.

Still don't care for the Blue Fairy, makes me believe the theories I've read elsewhere that she's the big bad in all this. Tinkerbell didn't disappoint. I hope she and Regina get their happy ending, we'll see how the chemistry goes with Robin Hood.

I would hate Blue being a force for evil. I think a lot of posters (especially on TWOP) have it out for her for reasons I can't fathom, myself. She is an authority figure, perhaps the highest authority figure, amongst the Fairy Folk. She has responsibilities and must keep things running ship shape. She's had to lay down the law cuz that's what leaders have to do sometimes. Has it been unfair to some? Yeah. I don't think anything she's done rises to "evil" yet though.

That site is filled with psychos. Back when I read through some of their posts I actually came across a well thought out/written post showing evidence of subtle things Blue has done that could eventually point to her being revealed as the big bad. We'll see...

I will say, the idea that as far back as the Pre-Rumple Dark One era she was known as a supremely powerful force does raise some suspicions that the writers could go down a "It's the Blue Fairy!! It's always been the Blue Fairy" road.

As for TWOP... Well I think the OUAT forums there are filled with posters who project a lot onto the characters and plots of the show. That's just my take. Also it's just filled with people that want to out snark everyone. Thrilling the world with their cynical zingers is the only reason they post. IMHO.

I saw on Twitter that there are set pics of [blackout]Ariel in Storybrooke with Belle[/blackout].

Overall tonights episode was a step up. But Im pretty torn on the Mulan thing...

On one hand Im thrilled they're allowed to gay up a Disney icon.... But on the other.... Im like really??? A strong female thats got the guts to disguise herself as "one of the boys" has to be the gay/bi one too??? There's something annoying about that to me.... A bi/gay female doesn't have to be masculine....

I thought the same too. It's why I resisted the idea at first. It came off... I can't find the word, but stereotypical comes closest. I will say one thing... Now we all have something to talk about Mulan other than what a flat actress Chung is. Actually so far this season she has actually not been bad.

We got one a long time ago of those two together so nothing new really.

I don't think they've been allowed anything. This is something they have to play coy to like they do on cartoons. Disney wont let them kill any of their major characters, I doubt they will let them make them gay/bi outright.

The first image of them together was walking along a beach. One could assume it had something to do with Neverland, but them being together in Storybrooke? That's interesting...
