ABOMINABLE: Are We FINALLY Getting A COOL Bigfoot Flick?

ABOMINABLE was just showcased on Nightline for Horror movies... along with the Saw series, Hostel and Silent Hill.

This movie could be pretty good.

"Abominable" would be an extremely difficult word for people to say when asking for their tickets at the box office...

...Two for "Abominabubble" please. :)

That was sort of the E.T. of Bigfoot movies. Yeah Rick Baker made an incredible suit, but it's a pretty "kiddie" film.

Agreed but I doubt anyone anytime soon is going to surpass it.

Now a Bum in a Bubble would be a cool Horror movie.

I saw the preview for this like a year ago.. Im deathly afraid of Bigfoot. :down

Well, you can watch it this Saturday on SCI FI channel.... :p

Eh, I'll give it a try. I mean, it stars Jeffry Combs.

There is supposed to be a death scene where a girl dies completely naked after taking a shower, I guess that part will be cut out?

It'll be shown, I'm betting, but the nudity wil be blurred.

Like on the TV show Cops.

I guess it will be a full blur then? Cause she is completely naked.

Not sure.

As far as I know, SciFI has only shown topless nudity, not the full thing.

They should set in somewhere between the 1930s-1960s. Loosely use stories from people who claim to have had encouters. Have it similar to Jaws in how the threat is rarely seen, show it from Bigfoot's perspective for some scenes.

That's essentially how I've always thought a good Bigfoot movie should be made. Legend of Boggy Creek had some cool stuff, but it was mostly crap.

Did anyone watch it?

Horrible. Just horrible.

While some parts seemed decent, overall the film was a let down.

The acting ranged from okay to good, the characters weren't completely terrible, and some of the gore was well done.

However, the monster's design was one of the worst I've ever seen, and a lame ending didn't help matters either.

No, no.

I was expecting it to be much worse.

But, had I paid to see the film, I would have been angry. Also, I don't think I'll ever have the urge to watch it again.

Hope so, haven't seen it yet, although, Harry and the Hendersons was pretty funny and cool, when I was younger!

I have to agree. Movies that usually end up on scifi are absolutely horrid.

Did anyone feel that it built too slow? The acting was ok, nothing great. Ashley Hartman's role was wasted, but atleast Lance Henricksen found her and had a little talk.

I didn't like how a lot of the deaths were done off screen.

I wouldn't know I didn't start watching until half way in.
