As promised...here is the pic from the toy. The Hulk is perfect in my opinion....Abomb on the other hand....well...you decide. Let the backlash begin....lol

Well I know 9,000 posts are going to say "BAH!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!" but... if Nolan's vision of the Joker can exist... as can this Abomination.

I actually find it to be a pretty cool redesign.

overall i'm let down. i'm not a fan of such an obvious brown, i prefer it a little greener, but that isn't that bad. the head really is what bothers me, but maybe it will change since they did say they were keeping the ears, and i don't see ears in that pic.

i'm gonna guess AD will love it though since i don't think anything shown for any of the new marvel movies looks bad ever to him, does he work for marvel or something?

Has some of their stock I believe?

Yea. He doesn't look like ABOM without the ears. And he is too brown in my opinion.

EDIT: I am digging the toes though and his muscle tone

I can't lie, its not what i expected, and its hard to judge based on a low res pic of a toy but I'm actually kind of digging it.He looks strong but disgusting, as i'd imagine an abomination would...i still can't wait to see actual screen shots but this is the most exciting release we've had since they started...

something tells me that this isn't the final design of Abomb....I could be wrong however. I keep thinking back to 03 when the final designs of some of the figures didn't match the Hulk we saw in the movie. If they added ears to the character in the pic above I think it would be fine.

If you were to show this figure to any Hulk fan with no context and him to identify it, would he be able to?

Nolan's Joker is at least remotely recognizable. There's nothing about this that truly says "Abomination" to me.

The feet: yes.

The hands: no. They're four fingers and a thumb. How does that specifically say "Abomination"?

The ears--If we can't see them, that's not the Abomination's, which (traditionally) are quite large.

Again, not recognizable.

:cmad: What the heck is that? Its not the abomination I hope!

How doesn't huge, brown, skeletal and big freaky feet specifically say Abomination?

I'M LOVIN' IT! LETS BE OPEN MINDED GUYS... It has to seem to work in real life and the ears are probably a bit pointier then they look on the figure.

HULK LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

agreed

Hulk does look awesome. I think he'd look better if he were smaller with less exaggerated proportions, though, so he would work in "real life."

You can see that on the left ear it is pointy... I'm telling you guys! He's gonna look great! The colors aren't going to be exact either, look at the VERY green looking HULK. He has Roth's facial features too! This is going to be some IMPRESSIVE effects!

What the hell is that?! Abomination looks like a giant zombie on steroids! WTF?!

It looks like a bald olive Hulk thats starving!

You're joking, right...?

If you are talking to everyone who likes it... no we're not.

Look, comic movie films -sits down Scandalous to console him-... they are never what you envision for the villain.

Ever.

Let's list villains and characters screwed up shall we?
-Doctor Doom
-Green Goblin
-GG2
-Venom
-Blackheart
-Galactus
-upcoming Joker (for me and several others, Don't attack me Nolan fans, because it still looks to be an astounding film.)
-Every last Transformer was nitpicked by fans.

It's time for you to realize, if you go into a comic book film, with expectations for the characters to be exactly as you know them, be it physically, origin, heck even personality... you will always be disappointed.

Edit: and if you meant if I was joking.... no I wasn't. But I wasn't saying it resembled comic Abomination at all, I was saying, how does it not scream out the very definition of an "abomination."

I don't need "exactly." I'd gladly settle for "remotely". And I asked, how does it say "The Abomination," not an abomination?

If all that's required is a physical resemblance of the general definition of the term, you might as well put eight eyes on Tobey Maguire's head and ditch the costume, or just use a really big guy instead of a CGI green Hulk.

HAHA wow, he looks like a huge muscle-y version of Imhotep from The Mummy

Heh, that's still how I feel about the Joker. (Save for personality wise!) Physically I don't even feel a remoteness to him.

But lately, I seriously don't care with these comic movies. Time to realize the movies are a completely different universe than the comics and always will be.
