The extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec. I've never heard of this but I just decided to pay attention to the new trailer. This looks awesome! If it gets good reviews, I'll get the dvd.

It's directed by Luc Besson (Subway, Fifth Element, Kiss of the Dragon, The Transporter, Taxi etc) and is about a journalist who has to capture a pteradon which hatches in pre-war Paris. It's got quite a Tintin vibe of clean adventure without much action or violence.

Hi,

Adele Blanc-Sec ( btw a "blanc-sec" is a glass of white wine ) universe is set on early 20th century ( pre and post WWI ) and is filled with mad scientists, steampunk stuff and ocultism.
To the person above, it is much more darker than Tintin, Adele books are not for children.

Note for self : watch the trailer once at home.

Adele is played by Audrey Tautou Louise Bourgoin but she might be less famous than Marion Cotillard in the US. who is not famous at all in the US. Louise Bourgoin is a fine looking woman anyway.

Edit : I saw the trailer, the look and atmosphere is there but I hope they don't try to put too much Adele things in one movie, the pterodactyle, the mummy, maybe the neandertal man ( but I didn't saw him ).

The movie got mixed reviews ranging, but it's doing well in France. There's a UK distribution but not a USA one yet. In Italy it will be released on October 1st.
