So Vision has the mind gem in his head, not the yellow soul gem?

****ing gems and their names... I keep on mixing them up. It's the gem from Loki's scepter. The shell was just blue, it's yellow inside.

lmao don't feel bad, I just messed up the colors too, apparently soul is green?? IDEK anymore. But I guess Loki didn't have the blue gem after all then, dang.

It's kind of weird that Marvel Studios seems somewhat hesitant to take the Hulk's character in a new direction.

I mean so far, every film that he's appeared in has resulted in him always having to relocate somewhere on his own.

It'd actually be a nice change of pace for the character to end a film on a different note.

thanks for everything DP!

oh Bruce...
the Hulk on a plane ending sounds a lot like the Cap1 ending, hmmm

does cap shows his leadership qualities in this one?

Character and action wise, is cap well presented? Is he the badass cap from TWS?

THANK YOU :)

Doesn't stick out, to be honest. I'm trying to think of outstanding Steve scenes and I can't really think of one. They all work kind of good together, and Steve is the leader who makes the new team in the end, but... Nothing really impressive. Mostly the scene with Nat and Clint and she gets taken, I guess, when he orders Clint to fly off and not go after her... Can't think of anything more.

Except Cap was sacrificing himself to save the world and Bruce is basically running away from his friends because he can't deal any more.

I've never been a fan of the whole 'I must keep everyone I care for in the dark for their own safety!' trope tbh. But the main issue I have with it is that Bruce hasn't really had enough screen time to really cement his character and build to this. This sort of plot might work better if he had his own solo film coming up but it seems he'll be absent until IW and that in the meantime his friends are going to go through a lot of bad stuff. That's just kind of sad to me.

It's a pity they didn't have him in IM3 properly tbh, give Ruffalo more a chance to develop the character.

I didn't even think of that rehash parallel
oh Whedon...

:funny:

If Bruce and Betty had happened in the previous film, with Bruce getting locked up in that Hulk Container that Loki was imprisoned in, then this would have likely happened instead..

Thank you for answering my question. Much appreciated ^^

I'm vulnerable as hell, and Phoenix you're lowering my expectations by each comment. Haha.

Seriously I am looking forward to this, but with all the less-than enthusiastic reactions (from Twitter and now Phoenix)... It bothers me. It's just me and how I feel as I said, don't take it the wrong way guys. I will judge this on my own, though I need to get that through my head properly because right now I'm in the worried stage.

It's not just you bro, my hype has slowly declined over the weeks. I still expect to really like the film. But a few weeks ago and beyond, I, perhaps naively, thought the film was going to blow away all other MCU films.

Yeah... It's so weird how different I feel now.

Not trying to put aside negatives, but everyone's expectations are/were through the roof because of what was accomplished 3 years ago - and on top of that TWS and GOTG, which everyone seems/seemed to think, as you said, would be blown out of the water by Age of Ultron. Maybe it's just better for some. And even that may not have been enough.

Hey Pheonix! I was wondering...

Does Wanda show any abilities of probability or reality warping that just isn't showing the team their worst fears?

And he would you describe Wanda's new costume at the end?

so who dies then i'm confused on that point

It makes sense it would end darker. The first one ended on a happy note with them getting schwarma together. They couldn't do the same and tie everything up in a neat bow again.

They really don't know what to do with the character, and they can't really do anything with all the legal issues involved. Kind of a waste of Ruffalo's talents really when he's got no arc.

Bruce never really went much into that thing with her. He kept her at distance all the time, because he doesn't want to hurt her. Also, he wants out of the fight, he hates the Hulk more than ever. In the end he's in the quinjet alone as Hulk and Nat is on com, trying to get through to him, to talk him back into Bruce so he can land. Instead he just quits the connection and in the end we learned he flew into the ocean (they don't know if he was still inside though). He wants to protect her from himself and he wants to go on the run, and while she considered running with him for a while, in the end she stays in the battle, so he goes alone.

So basically Hulk left before the battle is done?

Doesn't it sound like Banners entire story in this is recycling of what we have seen in previous movies? I mean the Banner/Widow romance is just a poor mans version of his story with Betty in TIH (which seems to be completely ignored in AoU). I think Whedon only included this for the benefit of Widow's story to show her as vulnerable for some strange reason (I have a similar feeling about the death of QS being purely for shock value and to benefit SW story as well). Good pairings benefit both characters.

The description of the quinjet scene sounds so similar to the end of Cap 1. :csad:

I think maybe Whedon doesn't know what to do with the character, but I'm hopeful that others may be more creative. I agree that this story is a waste of his character and Ruffalo's acting skills (but he sadly seems very keen on abandoning Bruce and Betty for the Widow romance).

Not really, it's mostly the mind **** thing, everything else is telekinetic.

Practical, covering, simple. Black Widow in Red, I guess, from the concept, but not a onesie from what I remember. These are all "blink and you'll miss" shots in the end, one time seeing isn't enough for such details.

What are the latest Twitter reactions?

I think Marvel's inability to move Banner's/Hulk's character forward is a result of them not really knowing on whether they want to portray the character(s) as a straightforward hero, along with their reluctance towards abandoning the whole "lonely man walk" act.

The ONLY things that have changed for the character in the last 12 years is that he interacts with more interesting characters and has a better CGI design.

But aside from that, as a individual, he hasn't evolved as a character on cinema.
