Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents of SHIELD - S02E14 - "Love in the Time of Hydra"

What has SHIELD II even done in the wake of Original SHIELD's demise? Coulson SHIELD has at least eliminated major Hydra officials and found a mutual trust with the US Government to the point that they're not considered fugitives anymore.

You have a very good point there especially as they advocate for transparency and being more open. Instead we have not seen them for the first half of the season and it does not appear that they are above ground at all. Which makes it hard for me to believe that, that is their true goal. Otherwise it would have been nice for some hints/clues to have been dropped during the first half of the season.

Wasnt it in the water when first seen in Avengers?!

Yeah, but the design here doesn't look like a helicarrier, just a regular aircraft carrier.

I think they're trying to imply that it's a helicarrier.
Maybe an older model from before the 64 seen in The Avengers

Not quite as good as last week, but good. I miss Cal.:csad: And sheesh,we've seen Raina once since the show's return? I guess the storyline with the Eyeless Wonder is gonna be on the back burner for the time being.

Well,it's good to have Ward back.I miss the manipulative little *******.:hehe: He has complex motivations,it seems. But I'm betting he's using Agent 33 the same way Garrett used him.(and presumably the same way he'd use Skye,if she went along with him in the first place.)

Ward romancing 33 with Skye's face and May's voice:

I like Fitz & Simmons interactions these days. It's less about Fitz struggling to communicate (finally) and more that they have separate ideologies. The "X-Men" parallels are all there. BTW,loved the monkey reference. Fitz doesn't mention the monkeys anymore.:csad: The debate about the Hulk was cool.

Well, the Nu SHIELD makes it's appearance.Kinda early to get a feel on it.But it's cool (and sensible) to expect a power struggle for the leadership of SHIELD.I never really thought I'd feel bad for Hunter, but he's got my sympathy.

Seriously, could Mack have a worse poker face?

I'm guessing Skye is perfectly set up in isolation as the team's ace in the hole, once EJO,Bobbi & Mack make their move.

Great to see Talbot again. But I'm always reminded how I loath and detest the fact that he has a wife and kid in this show instead of hounding Betty Ross in a Hulk solo movie and I intend to keep reminding everybody of this in the hope someone from Marvel is reading this! :argh:

He's as crazy as the Doctor/Cal.

either that or long game manipulative, comes across very holistic if some hoslistic con artists also had the skills of an assassin, or could be genuine nie guy in to all that holistic stuff but also has the skills of an assassin.

I liked how Grant described closure with his family: "We had to dig deep".

Could be! Maybe Howard's design?

According to Coulson, Shield stopped using "the Bus" in the 1990s when they got a Helicarrier.

Could've been Howard's design before he was taken out

Here's an aircraft carrier that appeared last season in End of the Beginning

Might've been an older model of the helicarrier too

The carrier was definitely on the water, saw waves around it and they said he escaped in a submersible.

Yeah remember where the Helicarrier's wings came from in Avengers. From UNDER the water. Could be a variation of the Helicarrier easy

Here's the good ole helicarrier from The Avengers, which became the base model for the Insight Carriers

It'd be awesome if Team Coulson commandeered a Helicarrier eventually.

Welcome aboard!!! Wow the newer shows are bringing out the lurkers :more: lol

Thank you Vartha. I also feel bad for you when the shows air as it seems the students always keep you from it.

Been lurking for months and it just keeps getting better. Had to jump in at some point. :yay:

Possibly major spoiler for Age of Ultron

Maybe they hijack SHIELD II's rig once all is said and done.

Skye is going to pop off next week, I do hope Fitz takes Simmons gloves and makes the gauntlets out of them with no side effects. That's where I think that is going anyway. Will be interesting to see how Bobbi gets back into Coulson's good graces after all this is said and done. No way they get rid of Mockingbird. I doubt Mack will be in the good graces but I could be wrong. Nice to see Kirk Acevedo, I have been loving him in 12 Monkeys on SyFy, too bad he works for NuSHIELD haha. I wonder if Coulson and Co absorb this NuSHIELD and their staff/equipment when everythinng shakes out? Would be a good way to explain how they get a Helicarrier haha

The guest star credits for next episode spoil the presence of [BLACKOUT]Gordon[/BLACKOUT], so that'll possibly play into how Skye escapes SHIELD II's attack.

I must admit that I find the Nu-SHIELD to be weak at the moment. Not that there are many established cinematic universe characters left, but it's Agent Weaver (so, a very minor character) and a bunch of scrubs. I don't believe for half a second that they pose any threat at all to our SHIELD, and more than likely Bobbi and Mack will switch sides again before its all said and done. I wouldn't be surprised if Simmons was loyal to her teacher...in fact I'm kind of surprised that it hasn't already been covered (maybe Bobbi is a triple agent, working with Nu-SHIELD only to find out who the real moles are in our SHIELD...eh...doubt it).

Speaking of Agent Weaver, I wonder if a rewatch of her season 1 episodes will give us more info that we didnt catch the first time. Wasn't the university under siege by Hydra the last we saw her?

Thanks, At least THIS week I could see most of what was happening. lol

Does anything spoil any more Kyle McLachlan and his defective John Thomas? That guy is as good as Bill Paxton.

Yeah, I'm hoping that those gloves aren't the tv version of her gauntlets...but after Deathlok won the state Lazer Tag championship, anything is possible.

wait wait wait....I just had a horrible thought.....What if the Director of Real-Shield is the ORIGINAL Nick Fury?

silly real shield, trying to capture Daisy. No one can capture a girl that can explode your heart in your chest.
