Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents Of SHIELD - Episode2.19 - The Dirty Half Dozen

Not sure what the Council's status is after SHIELD's fall from Winter Soldier, though. The WSC members from WS (save for the one that Black Widow impersonated) all died, if memory serves.

RIP Bakshi :( I didn't see that coming. Dammit Simmons!

Also RIP The Bus. You were pretty cool.

Loved Skye's single take action scene. That was quality (though a bit too dark, I need to rewatch it on a better television)

The actress who plays Skye's mom is really beautiful. I hope nothing terrible happens to her although I'm afraid it will. I want to see the Hyde Out I know is coming but not at the expense of Skye's fam. I would like to keep them both around for awhile, even if in occasional guest roles.

I've enjoyed Fitz & Hunter's interactions. Coulson & May's argument was a well-done scene also.

Ward was great. Hope he shows up again soon.

I think that's all. This episode = awesome

The episode was excellent, except one thing. In Nothing Personal Maria Hill assisted Talbot in finding a S.H.I.E.L.D. base, and she openly told Coulson that there is no S.H.I.E.L.D. anymore, but now she serves as some sort of a liaison officer between S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers. Isn't that a little hypocritical?

I think it's tied to what happens in Ultron and having watched it already over here, I'll not speak any further.

Granted however, countries usually have established lines of succession for such scenarios.

Is it that something is actively in the cargo hold of the ship or that something was in the cargo hold that night? I was thinking maybe it was Loki's Scepter and this was when Baron Von Strucker acquired it.

Going by how Coulson approached Gonzales, it's safe to assume that whatever the hell's on the Iliad cargo hold is still there, so it's likely not the Scepter.

The sceptre is in Segovia.

What a fun episode. So many good things and a great lead into AoU which I'll be seeing tomorrow. I like that Coulson has assembled the Avengers once again. Skye's John Wick scene was well shot and well done, even if it was a bit dark and some unnecessary speedups were used. Some great lines as well with the Sonic reference and Coulson's mic drop to Gonzalez.

That whole briefing room scene was great from being Ward being called Candyman and getting called out on his ********. I love how unapologetic he was for everything he did and is all "just like old times guys."

It was also good to see Fitz and Simmons acting like they used to be, especially with Fitz showing off with how he had to be pulled off Ward by Hunter...lol.

Whiskey where you been?

I do like how May is showing her true self a bit. That she never trusted Coulson & even she would do anything to discover his secrets. Once Coulson is back in charge. May & Simmons & & Mack can all follow the old mother ****er OUT. Im guessing Crappingbird might switch sides at one point. But do I want a show featuring her & Hunter ? Especially if its after she switches sides ? Hell to the ****ing no

There's an Age of Ultron prelude comic "This Scepter'd Isle" that explains how Strucker acquired the scepter.

Like DN91 said, the implication seems to be that whatever was in the cargo hold when SHIELD fell/that Gonzales was supposed to destroy is still in the cargo hold.

"Still glad I shot you."

"Should've aimed for his head."

"Yep."

:woot:

Presumably, we'll see more WSC members in Civil War as the ones who vote to introduce the MCU's version of the Registration Act.

Even in the comics, the SHRA was done only in the United States. I don't think the World Council (most of whom are now dead from an organization that is now dead) is a necessary player.

I think you're missing my point. The world council is simply a group of politicians that represent their constituent countries. Much like the UN Security Council, it is more than just the people that serve. SHIELD can only exist if someone is around to pays the bills. If Coulson is spending SHIELDs entire annual budget on bases and beds, it would seem to indicate that the cash hasn't stopped flowing. Which means that there is at least a body of benefactors serving as oversight.

Plus, the MCU registration act (going by the synopsis for CA:CW) will be a worldwide one, as opposed to being brought into law solely by the American government.

Just got around to seeing this episode, amazing! Wish i head seen it before aou.

The Avengers were already assembled and fighting against Hydra.
But yeah, nice to see Coulson give them very good intel.

True, but it seems they don't get any leads to the Scepter there, according to a short spoiled summary I read online, so yeah, it was a nice touch that they had Coulson provide the much needed intel for the Avengers to act.
