Awesome episode, and I totally called the multiple Koenig's running bases weeks ago

AND Triplett survived :woot: :woot:

Question though: Deathlok curb stomps Garrett, presumably knocking him out cold, and then SHIELD, or someone comes in and wraps his body up. Next scene, he's escaped and putting on armour... What happened there?? Felt like such a bad cut and we'd missed something

So there wasn't a big Avengers guest star as everyone speculated. Who was Chloe geeking out over then?

Anyone see Elizabeth Henstridge's interview on Craig Ferguson? She didn't really talk about AOS at all, but more about getting completely naked at a Turkish bath.

I think in real life she's not as personable on a chat show as Chloe Bennett, or as naturally funny. Chloe was on Jimmy Kimmell a couple of months ago. Henstridge is still fine, personality wise, but doesn't come across as snappy as Jemma Simmons, whereas Chloe still seems like Skye.

I really enjoyed most of the episode but not the exchange when they talk about death. I know they tried to simulate how two analytical scientists would approach the subject but all it did was make the characters seem shallow and seem like limited thinkers to me. Not a mention of faith or what could be beyond? It would have been far better and made the characters far more likeable had they skipped that exchange completely.

I did love her screaming. "NOOOO---" then cut to the silence of the ocean outside as the glass imploded! That was masterful.

So, are atheists inately unlikeable to you then? I liked Simmons romantic version of the law of conservation of energy.

Marvel's Agent Carter threads are now Open!

Either Patton Oswalt or Cobie Smulders. I highly doubt that she's an Adrian Pasdar fan.

Following the season one finale, executive producers Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen previewed a few things that the show will explore in season 2. The first is the fate of Fitz, which Whedon says is still in flux:

Well, we know how he feels. But we're not positive how he made it through — or how far he made it through. There are still some questions to be answered there.
The two also said that Triplett would continue to be around next season and that they "actually cannot talk" about whether Patton Oswalt's return was as a clone, LMD, or twin. The executive producers did talk about what the major theme will be and how Ward's journey will parallel Coulson's:

Whedon: We saw in the finale it was a little bit of one step at a time with helping Garrett and now that they reached the finish line, he was looking to Garrett for answers and Garrett's not giving them to him, which emotionally affected Ward. For the first time he's lost, and how that will play out in Season 2 is one of the things we're excited to explore.

Tancharoen: In a way, there's a nice parallel between Agent Ward and Agent Coulson, two men who've sort of been stripped of everything they've believed in and are left with nothing — all of them, collectively, are searching for their purpose. What is the purpose of S.H.I.E.L.D.? How will they define themselves now? Now that Garrett is gone, what does that mean for Ward? Will he come to something on his own? That is something we hope to explore in Season 2.

So many more mysteries for next season. Although I must say I really want Ward to be a bad guy still. No way should they go the redemption route with him, I mean, the things he did are pretty unforgivable.

EDIT: The whole interview is a good read at the link BTW

He definitely was ready to kill Melinda May during that fight at the end, and it's not like dumping FitzSimmons into the sea was actually his way of letting them go. They very well could not have escaped, and barely did so. Fitz may have brain damage but easily could have sacrificed his life. In fact, he was ready to, and it was only Simmons who dragged him with her to the surface.

I guess Deathlok won't evolve anymore into his comic look, since he's no longer under the control of Centipede. That means we're stuck with LaserLok! :argh:

Where are the techies in Cyberlock?

The first office was just filing cabinets, no tech so Skye couldn't hack her way in
The office in the final was just for operators of the centipede soldiers

So where are the Cybertech techies, the young Hydra scientists they recruited?

These are the same people that built Garret's chest piece for the final. Maybe they could be made to upgrade Deathlok. Or maybe Fitz does.

If anything, Fitz will try to make Mike Peterson human again. The only way Fitz might try to upgrade Deathlok is if he were suffering from some kind of brain damage.

No... wait...

The metal is already under his skin. My bet is he gets caught in an explosion next season and the faceplate becomes exposed.

Or, he doesn't have to turn into a photocopy of the comic appearance, because this is an adaptation.

I guess you won't mind then if, in the Netflix series, Daredevil goes back to his Rex Smith all-black costume a la The Trial of the Incredible Hulk.

i expect that Daredevil's costume will evolve; just as Spider-man's did in both movie series.

See I would think that the next time we see Deathlok, that he will look more like what we would expect. He is out there doing battle, having his own adventures and he is going to get damaged, but now he doesn't have the benefit of Cybertek behind him. I'd guess that his face plate will be completely visible the next time we see him.

Yeah someone please explain this to me. One minute he was dead or unconscious (werent his eyes open?) on a gurney the next back in that room?

So, it looks like Marvel got some influence from the show:

The new Deathlok...
