And again, why does Hawkeye have to be as tall or taller than his love interest?

And again, why does Hawkeye have to be as tall or taller than his love interest?

The same reason Bono wears concealed platforms and Brad Pitt had to walk in a trench alongside Tom Cruise in interview with a vampire. The public connect height with masculinity. Why are we arguing about something that everyone knows about?

Palinki will never be Renner's love interest, ever.

You're just nitpicking now. My point was that these two actors would never have been cast if they intend on following the comic book love story, even barefoot!!

Of course, that's what Gwyneth Paltrow did visibly in the Avengers and parts of Iron Man 3, and out of the camera in Iron Man 1. Remember how she kept walking round barefoot and in those short shorts in Avengers? I'm sure that wasn't purely for eye candy. She is taller than RDJ, especially if she's in heels, but appears more the same height as him when she's barefoot, and when he's probably in heels. She was cast as his love interest.

True, and RDJ wears platform shoes as Stark, for most of his shots. The only thing height matters for is framing your actors in a shot. Some actors like Liam Neeson are very tall, where Natalie Portman is only 5'3", so when they were filming Star Wars, it makes it very difficult to frame the shots properly. Often times they have to use forced perspective to get the actors to frame up right. When it looks like they are standing face to face, they'll usually put the smaller actor closer to the camera.

It's just that it can become difficult when a female actor is as tall or taller than the male lead, that they have to do certain things to get the shots to frame up properly. It can be something as simple as having the female switch into flats or take off her shoes if she's wearing heels that would make her taller than the male actor.

Point being there's a ton of practical effects that can be done to handle these types of things and most people never know. Sometimes it's shocking to see how small certain actors are when you see them in real life, because you immagine them bigger. I'm 6'2" and I remember back in the early 90's I met Sylvester Stallone when they were filming Rocky V, and I was stunned at how small he was.

While you're in the future, can you let me know next week's lottery numbers and grab me a copy of Infinity War Parts 1 & 2. Cheers

There's no reason they can't be paired up in the future, let's just wait and see

Agent Carter

... Lou Ferringo Jr?

And is that another Joss regular as the 'young woman' ?

Why is Dichen Lachman getting such a random role? It's like Enver Gojak's role in The Avengers. Hopefully it's more than that.

Looks like we know where Grant's heading after escaping federal custody.

What mistake is that? I don't live in NYC.

Was the Met Life building destroyed in Avengers 1? I thought both should co exist since Avengers Tower was originally Stark Tower.

No, the Met life building is exactly where Stark Tower was in the Avengers. You can literally see the bottom half of it still there during the fight in NY. But Tony reconstructed it into his own tower, then the Avengers happened and Tony converted it into Avengers tower.

It'd be very unlikely to buy the building, rebuild it as Stark T, rebuild it into Met Life then rebuild it again in to Avengers tower.

Yeah, it's a stock footage goof. It was certainly easier to get that shot of the UN without having to CGI in Avengers Tower.

I'm not even sure which one is the Met Life Tower in that skyline shot.

It's the one to the immediate right of the Empire State Bldg, innit?

Honestly I kind of doubt that a lot of ordinary people watching the show would catch that. Especially if they don't know the background or aren't familiar with NYC's skyline.

Still it's kinda a big error on their part. And we've already seen Avengers tower in TWS as well as in posters as well so it's not keeping it hidden for the movie.

It's saving money on CGI for just an establishing shot of the UN.

It's not their fault the movie didn't create lots of establishing shots from all angles so you could get a good shot of the UN with the Avengers Tower in the background. ;)
